Summerfest Arts Faire takes place in Logan, Utah, June 15-17, 2023. Summerfest Arts Faire is a fine art/fine craft event popular with collectors and visitors (over 60,000) and takes place at the Cache County Fairgrounds and Event Center, 490 South 500 West, Logan UT, 84321. Summerfest Arts Faire is a juried event known for its quality original artwork.

About the registration

You are cordially invited to submit an application to request participation in the 39th Annual Summerfest Arts Faire Plein Air Painting and Photography Contests to take place in Logan, Utah, June 15, 2023. Summerfest 2023 will feature 140+ artists' booths, performances on two stages, a family art yard and food venders featuring food from around the world as well as our annual Plein Air Painting and Photography contests.. Attendance at Summerfest averages 60,000 and is Cache Valley's favorite "kick-off to summer" event. Summerfest Arts Faire is a nonprofit corporation dedicated to celebrating the arts in Cache Valley.

Terms & Conditions

The Summerfest Arts Faire Plein Air Painting and Photography Contest will take place June 9-14, 2023, with professional and amateur divisions, and new this year, a Rising Star division, for artists 16 and younger. Participants may register and have canvases stamped Friday, June 9, 5pm - 8pm, and Saturday, June 10, 8am - 11am, at the Champ Room at St. John's Episcopal Church at 85 East 100 North, Logan. Latecomers may register at the Summerfest office on Monday, June 12 from 9am-11am at the Summerfest Arts Faire office located at 69 E 100 North, Logan. (Building West of St. John's Episcopal Church). Completed, framed paintings and photographs must be turned in at the Plein Air gallery located in the Cache County Events Center at the fairgrounds on Wednesday, June 14 between 9am and 11am. All photographers are required to submit a copy of their picture and the EXFI data prior to submission for acceptance in the competition. Judging will take place between 3pm and 5pm on Wednesday, June 14. The awards presentation will occur during our welcome reception that evening at 6pm. A silent auction, where Plein Air paintings and Photography entries may be offered for sale at the artist's option, will take place throughout Summerfest. A 25% commission fee will apply. The professional division will have approximately $1,500 in cash prizes. The amateur division will have approximately $300 in prizes. The Rising Stars division will have approximately $60 in prizes.  Artists accepted for booth space during Summerfest may also apply to the Plein Air Painting and Photography contests. These artists entry fees can be paid on Eventeny once an artist is accepted to be an exhibitor at Summerfest Arts Faire, or they can be paid at registration. Amateur entry fees must be paid during registration in June.
