We’re calling on top-tier culinary vendors serving up unique fusion creations and authentic Asian street eats—from steaming bao, savory ramen, and crispy gyoza to loaded Boba tea and viral fan-favorite snacks—to fuel thousands of passionate convention-goers. Show off your most creative menu items against the stunning backdrop of the St. Clair River and put your culinary talents on center stage at the region’s premier fan gathering!

1. Application, Approval, and Payment

Approval Process: Submission of an application does not guarantee a vendor space. Acceptance is based on menu variety, space availability, and compliance history.

Payment Deadline:

Upon approval, vendors will receive an electronic invoice. Full payment must be received within seven (7) business days to guarantee space. Unpaid spots will be released to waitlisted vendors. 

Refund Policy:

All vendor fees are non-refundable after payment. The event operates rain or shine. No refunds will be issued for inclement weather, natural disasters, or individual vendor cancellations.

2. Licensing, Permits, and Regulations

All vendors are strictly required to operate in full compliance with local and state laws:

Mobile Food Unit (MFU) / Transitory Food Unit (TFU) License: Vendor must hold a valid Mobile Food Establishment license or Transitory Food Unit license issued by the State of Michigan / Michigan Department of Agriculture and Rural Development (MDARD). 

Temporary Food Permit:

Vendors not possessing an active Michigan Mobile/TFU license must apply for a Temporary Food Service License through the St. Clair County Health Department at least 10 business days prior to the convention. Proof of permit must be prominently displayed during event hours. 

City of Port Huron Vendor Registration: Vendors must comply with all local municipal vendor registration requirements and mobile vending ordinances enforced by the City of Port Huron.

3. Insurance Requirements

Vendors must maintain a minimum of $1,000,000 Commercial General Liability Insurance per occurrence / $2,000,000 Aggregate.

A valid Certificate of Insurance (COI) naming [Insert Event/Convention Name], Blue Water Convention Center / ASM Global, and St. Clair County as Additional Insureds must be submitted at least 14 days prior to the event date.

4. Venue Rules & Operational Guidelines (Blue Water Convention Center)
Designated Load-In/Out:

Load-in times will be strictly enforced. Food trucks must arrive and park in their designated outdoor space prior to public doors opening. Vehicles cannot move while convention doors are open to the public.

Electrical & Power:

 Food trucks must be self-powered unless prior electrical arrangements have been explicitly booked and paid for through Convention Management.

Fire Safety & Generators:

All onboard equipment, propane tanks, and external generators must comply with Port Huron Fire Department standards. Quiet-run generators (<70 dB) are required to minimize noise disruption.

Outside Alcohol Prohibited:

No vendor may sell, serve, or distribute alcoholic beverages. The Blue Water Convention Center holds an exclusive liquor license for the premises. Outside alcohol on venue grounds is strictly prohibited. 

No Indoor Cooking Exhaust:

All food trucks preparing or cooking hot food must operate outdoors in designated areas approved by the Fire Marshal.

5. Waste, Grease, and Environmental Responsibilities
Grease and Greywater:

Dumping grease, oil, or greywater onto convention grounds, pavement, parking lots, or storm drains is strictly prohibited and illegal under city and state ordinances. Vendors must haul away all grease and wastewater in approved, self-contained holding tanks.

Trash Management:

Vendors are responsible for keeping their immediate vending space clean and free of litter during and after event hours. All commercial food waste and cardboard boxes must be collapsed and deposited in designated event dumpsters.

Cleaning Fee Penalty:

Failure to leave the designated vending space clean or improper disposal of waste will result in a $350 cleaning/violation fine and potential barring from future events.

6. Menu, Pricing, and Sales

Approved Menu:

Vendors may only serve food and beverage items listed on their approved application. Adding unapproved menu items on-site is prohibited.

Sales Taxes:

Vendors are solely responsible for collecting, reporting, and remitting all applicable Michigan state sales tax (6%).

7. Code of Conduct and Indemnification 

Conduct:

Vendor personnel are expected to conduct themselves professionally toward event staff, venue personnel, security, and convention attendees.

Indemnification:

Vendor agrees to protect, defend, indemnify, and hold harmless the Fan Convention Management, Blue Water Convention Center, ASM Global, St. Clair County, and the City of Port Huron from any and all claims, liabilities, damages, theft, or losses to persons or property arising out of the vendor’s participation or operations.
