About the application

Hecho en Taylor Market celebrates the rich cultural heritage, traditions, creativity, and contributions of Taylor’s Latino and Hispanic community. The market will feature local businesses, makers, artists, food vendors, and community organizations whose products, services, or offerings contribute to the celebration of Latino and Hispanic culture.

The market is open to all eligible vendors who meet the event’s standard vendor requirements. Vendors are encouraged to participate by offering products, services, artwork, food, educational materials, or other offerings that celebrate, reflect, or support the cultural theme of the event.

 

Vendor selection will be based on event-related criteria, including compliance with applicable permitting and health requirements, availability of space, product or service suitability, and the overall variety and quality of the market.

 

Hecho en Taylor is intended to celebrate and promote Latino and Hispanic culture and heritage while providing an inclusive opportunity for the Taylor community to come together, shop locally, experience cultural traditions, and support local businesses.

About the event

Celebrate the beginning of Hispanic Heritage Month with an evening showcasing the music and traditions of Mexico and Texas. The night features Addam Chavarria, a talented multi-instrumentalist and vocalist performing on piano, guitar, ukulele, and bass, followed by the energetic sounds of Yayo Castillo y Grupo Rumores. Blending Tejano, cumbia, and regional Mexican music, Grupo Rumores brings authentic Texas flavor and plenty of music to keep the crowd moving. The evening will also feature a special performance by Round Rock Ballet Folklórico, celebrating Mexico’s rich cultural heritage through vibrant costumes, traditional music, and dynamic choreography. Food & Beverages Food vendors will be located around the park. Guests are welcome to bring picnic dinners or to-go meals from the Downtown Businesses! Bring your own water and alcoholic beverages (no glass containers).

By completing this form, I acknowledge that participation in this City of Taylor event involves inherent risks, including possible injury, property damage, or other unforeseen incidents. I voluntarily assume all risks associated with participation and release, waive, and hold harmless the City of Taylor, its employees, volunteers, agents, and representatives from any claims, damages, or liabilities arising from participation in the event.

I certify that I am at least 18 years old, or the legal guardian of a participating minor, and have authority to sign this waiver. I understand that participants may be removed from the event for misconduct or safety concerns without refund.

I authorize the City of Taylor to use photographs or video taken during the event for promotional purposes and to obtain emergency medical treatment if necessary.
