Mark your calendars for the 43rd Annual Chesapeake Rotary Christmas Parade on Saturday, December 5, 2026!
Kick off the holiday festivities with the Holly Jolly Jog Fun Run at 5:30 p.m., followed by the spectacular Christmas Parade at 6:00 p.m.
This year's patriotic theme, "America250: A Christmas Celebration," honors our nation's 250th anniversary while celebrating the joy, traditions, and spirit of the holiday season.
The parade is proudly chaired by Rotarian Harry Murphy and presented by Chesapeake Regional Healthcare. The Chesapeake Rotary Club is honored to partner with the City of Chesapeake to continue this beloved 43-year holiday tradition, bringing together families, friends, local organizations, and businesses for an unforgettable evening of community celebration.
Bundle up, line the parade route, and join us as we celebrate Christmas, community, and America's 250th birthday in one spectacular holiday event!

| Parade Entrance fees | $1,000.00 | Non-refundable | As a Sponsor of the Chesapeake Rotary Christmas Parade, your organization will receive significant exposure to the community and parade spectators. In additional to your regular parade entry fee, your company’s name and logo will be prominently featured on all parade-related marketing materials, including posters, flyers, social media posts, and our official parade website. Additionally, your brand will be highlighted in all press releases and media coverage, ensuring widespread exposure. Last but not least, you will be featured on the LED truck screen that will travel the parade route 3x during the parade. Parade attendance is approximately 20,000. - Have you read and agree to the Parade Policies and Waivers?
- Do you acknowledge that no full Santa suits are allowed in the parade? There is only one Santa at our parade, but Santa hats are acceptable.
- Please provide the 2 - 4 sentence description you would like read by the Parade MC as you pass the stage. Our event is televised so this is a good opportunity to promote your organization.
- What is the approximate length (in feet) of the vehicle, vehicle + trailer or equipment you will include in the parade? Note: Maximum height is 13' due to powerlines on the parade route.
- What is the approximate number of attendees and walkers that will accompany your parade entry?
- We experienced huge gaps in last year's parade that impacted it being televised. Please acknowledge that you will communicate to your entire parade group that you need to stay within 60 feet of the group in front of you.
- Please be aware that the start and end of the parade are 1 mile apart at two different locations. You will definitely need a plan for dropoff and pickup.
- Please acklowedge that this is the Chesapeake Rotary Christmas Parade, not a political rally. Therefore no political campaigning will be allowed, no election signs on vehicles or floats and no political flyers can be handed out along the parade route.
