2026 Trick or Treat in the Park
About the application
Local businesses are invited to participate in the 15th annual Trick or Treat in the Park event! The purpose of this event is to provide a safe, family friendly environment for children to Trick or Treat and to raise awareness and publicity for local businesses. Businesses must set up a booth or tent and hand out candy for the duration of the event. We encourage each business to also give out information, advertising materials, etc… with each piece of candy. Providing a simple game is also encouraged to improve the overall experience of the children Trick or Treating.
Please note: All food vendor spaces are full at this time. Any type of food/drink vendor that submits an application will be automatically waitlisted.
Harrisburg Parks and Recreation will have additional games for the children to play, candy prizes, inflatables, a costume contest, plus more!
If you are interested in participating, the registration fee is $10. The deadline to apply is Sunday, October 18, 2026.
Each participating business must provide at least 5,000 pieces of candy. Please note: This event has an average of 8,000 people in attendance. Please bring extra candy if you are able. Harrisburg Parks and Recreation will have additional candy on hand to supplement if you run out. Set up time is from 1:30pm-3:00pm on Friday, October 30, 2026 in Harrisburg Town Center.
We also strongly encourage each business to decorate their booth. We welcome you to wear your favorite Halloween costume. Please provide your own tent, tables, chairs, etc. Booth spaces are 10x10 feet. Power will not be provided for vendors. This application is for non-food vendors only. All decorated booths will be judged and the best decorated Halloween themed booth will receive a prize!
1st Prize—$250 Cash Prize for your business!
2nd Prize—Your business name on the back of the jerseys for one of our Spring 2025 Harrisburg Parks and Recreation Youth baseball, softball or soccer teams!

- RULES & REGULATIONS:
- APPLICATIONS: Vendor applications will be accepted on a first come, first-served basis until vendor spaces are full. Deadline to submit an application: Sunday, October 18, 2026.
- RULES AND GUIDELINES: The sale of items is permitted. All vendors are responsible for their own money handling and providing change for cash purchases. The following items are banned from sale: Any type of animal or pet, snap-N-pops, cap guns or rockets, disappearing ink, crazy foam or silly string, stink bombs, water and marsh mellow guns or rockets, knives, guns and/or any other weapons (including replica weapons Vendors cannot sell or display items that are political in nature.
- REQUIRMENTS: Each vendor is required to provide at least 5,000 pieces of candy. Please note: This event has an average of 8,000 people in attendance. Please bring extra candy if you are able. Harrisburg Parks and Recreation may have additional candy on hand to supplement if you run out.
- SPACE ASSIGNMENTS: All approved vendors will be assigned a space. Vendors may be set up on concrete or grass. Some areas may not be level. Vendors must bring all necessary displays, tents, tables, chairs and weather protection. No structures are provided. In your best interest, a tent should be used for protection from the heat and sunlight. All tents need to be weighted down with sand bags, weights or heavy duty stakes. Event continues rain or shine, provided the weather does not present safety issues. Do not drive stakes into the cement or asphalt. Any vendor doing so will be required to remove them and will be billed by the Town of Harrisburg for repairs. If you need more than the allotted 10’ x 10’ space for display, you must purchase another space.
- SET UP: The event is to be held along the streets in Town Center in Harrisburg. Vendors may set up starting at 1:30pm on
Friday, October 30, 2026. Vendors must be set up by 3:30pm. If you arrive late, your space will not be available. Set up is not allowed after the event has started. Vendors are required to stay on site during the entire event. Please clean up your area entirely before you
leave. Damages incurred because of improper disposal will result in a fine for clean up. Your booth may not be dismantled until the event ends at 8:00pm. Dismantling early may cause you to be excluded from future events. - NOTICE: Harrisburg Parks & Recreation reserves the right to ACCEPT or REJECT any application. We also reserve the right to remove any vendor that does not follow the rules and regulations as established for this event. The Town of Harrisburg and Parks and Recreation Department reserves the right to remove any items from your tent and/or display that are deemed inappropriate or offensive. No exclusives will be given to any vendor without written permission from the Parks and Recreation Department. No refunds will be given for cancellations or withdrawals. Event is rain or shine.
