ABOUT THE PARADE
The Virginia Highland Mardi Gras Parade will feature floats and groups, from walkers and bikers to wagons and decorated vehicles. The route is approximately 0.6 miles along North Highland Avenue, starting at the intersection with St. Charles Avenue and ending at Los Angeles Avenue.
PARTICIPANTS
All krewes welcome! We’re looking for marching bands, schools, dance groups, sports teams, local businesses, friend goups, and anyone ready to get in the Mardi Gras spirit. Spots are limited, so get your application in early!
HELPFUL TIPS
Come dressed in your festive best! We encourage participants to bring their own throws, make a sign with your krewe name, and play music. The more spirit, the better!

REGISTRATION FEES (DUE UPON ACCEPTANCE)*
- Petite Krewe ($100)
For walking, biking, or non-motorized krewes with 1–10 participants.
- Grande Krewe ($200)
For walking, biking, or non-motorized krewes with 11–20 participants.
Krewe on Wheels ($350)
- For decorated vehicles or motorized floats with up to 20 participants.
*Fees waived for non-profit organizations.
Safety Note: All motorized entries must have one designated wheel walker per wheel.
