Art Garden KC is partnering with the South KC Chamber to help host the 9th Annual South KC Block Party - a free, family-friendly community celebration in one of South KC’s most vibrant shopping districts!

Located next to Wonderscope KC and the newly opened Farm Fresh Market, the Red Bridge Shopping Center has undergone years of thoughtful revitalization. Today, it’s a beautiful, thriving space filled with unique storefronts, locally owned businesses, and community pride. It's the perfect backdrop for a day full of music, creativity, shopping, and neighborhood connection!

This event brings out over 1,000 attendees and has become a beloved tradition in the South KC area. We truly enjoy working with the South KC Chamber and the Red Bridge team -they’ve been incredible partners, and it’s a joy to help bring this event to life again and include another round of amazing local vendors!

Event Highlights
• 50+ curated local artisan vendors by Art Garden KC & KC Black Owned
• Live music and entertainment from student groups and local performers
• Big Truck Zone and kids activities including balloon artists, face painting, and caricatures
• Food trucks and restaurant specials throughout the shopping center
• Local business pop-ups and sidewalk sales
• Center School District 5K begins at 9:00 AM

Vendor Details
Date: Saturday, October 10
Event Time: 10:00 AM – 3:00 PM
Load-in: 8:00 AM – 9:45 AM
Load-out: 3:00 PM – 4:00 PM
Location: Red Bridge Shopping Center – 11212 Holmes Rd, Kansas City, MO
Booth Fee: $50 for a 10' x 10' space (+ credit card processing fee)
Expected Attendance: 1,000+

Who We’re Looking For
This is a curated event. Vendors are selected based on professionalism, quality of work, booth presentation, and overall vibe. We’re especially looking for:

• Handmade and artisanal goods
• Original art/fine art

• Select cottage law vendors

As always live art and on-site creation are highly encouraged—guests love seeing artists in action! Be sure to mention if you plan to create live in your application.

Vendor Requirements
• 10x10 canopy with 20–30 lb. weights per leg
• Your own tables, chairs, and fabric table coverings
• Booth photo required with your application

Deadline & Payment Info
Applications close: Monday, September 21
Approved vendors will be charged immediately upon acceptance. Make sure your payment method is valid; declined payments will result in your spot being released to the next vendor on the waitlist.

Waitlist Procedures

You may be placed on the waitlist if there are no available spaces. If placed on the waitlist, you may be notified via email if there is a cancellation and be offered the opportunity to vend. If you accept, you will only be charged for the event and added to the map.

Cancellation & Refund Policy

• Refunds issued for vendors that cancel 7 days prior to the event date. 
• In the event of weather cancellations determined by the South KC Chamber and Art Garden KC management team, vendors will be notified via email and 50% refunds will be issued to all vendors.

General Expectations 

• Arrive on time and stay set up until event ends. Emergency situations will be taken into consideration at the discretion of the AGKC Team member on-site, please alert us if you need to leave early due to an emergency.
• Clean up after yourself.
• Be respectful to staff, event patrons and other vendors.
• Vendor owned canopies must be secured to the ground with blocks, sandbags or other heavy objects to prevent property damage and injury to others.

Professionalism

• Vendors must keep the immediate premises of the designated area clean, sanitary and/or orderly. Use fabric tablecloths and hide extra supplies/items under table. 
• No person shall deface or do damage to buildings, pavement, or other physical equipment of Red Bridge Shopping Center. Vendor shall be responsible for the repair or replacement of any property, which may be damaged by a vendor, operation of the vendor’s business or vendor employee.
• AGKC and/or Red Bridge Security shall have authority to immediately remove from the event any person:
  • Gambling
  • Displaying disorderly conduct
  • Possessing illegal firearms
  • Displaying aggressive or violent behavior
  • Using abusive or harassing language, gestures, or behavior
  • Physical assaulting or fighting
  • Performing sexual misconduct

Property Damage
South KC Chamber, Red Bridge Shopping Center and Art Garden Kansas City LLC and its employees, agents or officials are hereby released from any responsibility or liability for loss or damage of merchandise or property while it is being displayed/stored in this location. Vendors are responsible for their own personal liability and/or general liability insurance. By submitting your application, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to abide by these terms and conditions.
