Art in the Garden Artist Application

Art in the Garden is a small juried art show held during the Escondido Street Festival – Gather on Grand. Featuring more than 40 artists, the show is located in Heritage Garden at the east end of the festival, at the corner of East Grand Avenue and Juniper Street. Enjoy live music in a beautiful garden setting presented by MAGEC and the Escondido Downtown Business Association. With 16,000+ attendees, the festival offers artists exceptional exposure to a large and engaged audience.

Sales: All proceeds from sales go directly to the artist. Art in the Garden Escondido does not take any percentage of sales - only the space fee.

To protect the intent and integrity of the event:

You must be able to authenticate all products as handmade by you.

No wholesaling or sales representation for other businesses is allowed.
Violation of this policy disqualifies you from participation.

Applications will be accepted until all spaces are filled.

Acceptances and instructions will be sent via email.

 
Booth Information

Vendor spaces maybe located on pavement, grass or dirt, be prepared for unlevel conditions. Your booth must not obstruct pedestrian flow or access to businesses.

Displays must:

Be professional and of good quality

Remain entirely within your assigned space

Include all personal items (chairs, bags, supplies, etc.) inside your space

Artists are responsible for bringing their own setup, including:

Canopy or umbrella

Display structures and easels

Tables and tablecloths

Chairs and any additional support needed for display

The event fee is non-refundable

Registration is not confirmed until payment is received

 
Legal Waivers

Photo Waiver:
I hereby grant the Escondido Downtown Business Association/MAGEC the right to use photographs taken of me or my work during the event for any lawful purpose, including trade, advertising, display, editorial use, or exhibition in any medium.

⚖️ Release of Liability:
In consideration of being accepted to participate in this event, I, intending to be legally bound, hereby waive, release, and discharge any and all claims for damages or injuries that may arise from my participation. This release applies to the following entities, their employees, agents, and representatives:

The City of Escondido

The Escondido Downtown Business Association

I agree to inspect the event area and will only participate if I deem it safe. I voluntarily assume all risks associated with my participation. I accept full responsibility for the safety of myself, my equipment, products, and artworks, and I will not create or allow any hazardous conditions within or near my assigned booth.

I understand that no insurance coverage is provided to me by the event organizers, and it is my responsibility to obtain insurance if I desire coverage.
