About the registration
The 53rd Maryland Sheep & Wool Festival will be held in person on May 1 & 2, 2027 at the Howard County Fairgrounds in West Friendship, Maryland.
Pre-festival classes will be held on Wednesday, April 28, 2027 through Friday, April 30 , 2027, with Tuesday April 27, 2027 as the set-up day. A small number of classes will also be held during the festival on Saturday, May 1, 2027 and Sunday May 2, 2027. Please submit proposals to cover at least 3 full days of teaching. All submissions will be notified by October 1, 2026 of status.
Please use this form to submit proposals for fiber arts seminars for the 2027 Maryland Sheep & Wool Festival. The Fiber Arts Seminar Committee invites instructors from every heritage, culture, belief system, and lifestyle to submit a proposal.
About the event

What the Festival will provide:
--Instructor fees:
*Returning instructor:
$375 per half day class (3 hours); $750 per full day class (6 hours + lunch)
*New instructor:
$325 per half day class (3 hours); $650 per full day class (6 hours + lunch)
--Travel:
Coach airfare to Baltimore Washington International Airport or mileage to and from the instructor’s home address and the festival hotel at the current IRS rate. Transportation can be provided to and from BWI airport as well as to and from classrooms each day.
--Per diem: $30 per day
--Reasonable Shipping Fees
--Note on Materials Fees: Please include copying in your materials fee estimates. The festival will not reimburse instructors for copying expenses.
