You are not charged until your application has been approved! An application does not guarantee acceptance. You will be notified of approval within two weeks of submitting your application. 

This application is for trick-or-treating only. If you wish to attend as a retail or business vendor and stay for the whole event, please apply through the Business/Retail Vendor Application.  

 

Please note: all applications must come from a business, nonprofit, club, or other recognized organization. Applications from private individuals or informal groups will not be accepted.

About the event

Spooktacular returns as Winder's Pirate Cove, where young buccaneers can search for treasure, collect candy, and enjoy a night of family-friendly Halloween fun! Join us in downtown Winder on October 23 from 5-9pm for a family-friendly Halloween event. Spooktacular will feature trick-or-treating, a costume contest, themed activities, music, food trucks and more! Expected attendance is 4,000-6,000.

Terms & Conditions

Please read the following guidelines in their entierety before applying. 

  • Vendor check-in will run from 2:00-3:45pm
  • Trick or treating will be from 5pm-7pm. Please do not start distributing candy early or you may run out.
  • We encourage booths to be decorated with this year’s Spooktacular theme, “Winder’s Pirate Cove.” Think hidden treasure, pirate ships, tropical islands, mischievous pirates, mermaids, parrots, sea monsters, shipwrecks, treasure maps, and all things swashbuckling! Let your creativity run wild as you bring Pirate Cove to life!
  • Please make sure your booth has the name of the business or group represented attached in a visible manner.
  • Booth participants are prohibited from walking around the event to pass out marketing materials. 
  • Trick or Treat Booths should prepare to distribute candy and other treats to at least 10,000 trick-or-treaters.
  • Registration for Trick or Treat Booths is intended for those businesses and entities that are distributing candy and other treats. Promotional and marketing items should be limited. Entities or businesses wishing to host a promotional booth or a retail booth are invited to complete an application for a vendor booth. 
  • All applications must come from a business, nonprofit, club, or other recognized organization. Applications from private individuals or informal groups will not be accepted.
  • Inappropriate conduct is basis for automatic disqualification and removal from the event.
  • You must supply all necessary items for your booth (i.e. tent, table, chairs, etc.) including adequate weights. Staking is not permitted. 
  • No political statements are allowed at/on your booth. Stick to promoting your organization.
  • Vehicles must be approved during the application process. If you arrive with a vehicle as your booth, you will be sent away if it was not approved in advance. 
  • Vendors can begin breaking down at 7pm or when the line as dispersed. Even if you run out of candy, please do not start packing up your booth before 7pm. We ask that you have everything packed up and moved as soon as City staff has confirmed it is safe to do so.
  • You cannot pull your car back into the event space until we direct you to do so. This is to ensure the safety of the crowd. If you pull your car into the event space without permission, you may not be approved to be a vendor at future City of Winder events.
