Terms & Conditions
Show Rules and Expectations
a. All items must be handmade. No kits, imports, craft supplies, mixed media, or commercially produced items are allowed. Only items handcrafted by you and listed on your application are acceptable.
b. Foul language or offensive wording is prohibited on any items displayed in your booth. All art must be family friendly. Misrepresentation of these rules can result in the closing of an exhibitor’s booth without recourse or refund, and violators will not be considered for participation in any future events.
c. Vendors must stay within the defined booth space. This includes chairs, tables, props, etc. Fire Codes require certain size aisles be maintained the entirety of the show run. Items in the aisles will be removed or put back into your space. Tables must be covered to the floor and your display must look attractive from all sides. Exhibitors are encouraged to provide backdrops and decorate their booth in some fashion keeping with the holiday theme.
d. Vendors will supply their own booth, displays, tables, and chairs.
e. Vendors must bring enough work for the entire show. A storage area is available in the building for extra product. If you sell out, you will need to stay for the remainder of the show.
f. Electricity will be available for $20. Each vendor must provide their own UL approved electrical cords of sufficient length. Placement of cords shall be in compliance with the YMCA at Virginia Tech and the Town of Blacksburg Fire Department requirements.
g. Vendors must be prepared to exhibit the entire hours of the show. Do not break down booths until the show is over.
h. Vendors are solely responsible for determining and paying applicable sales tax on goods sold.
i. Vendors are responsible for ensuring that their goods and merchandise sold do not infringe upon the intellectual property rights of third parties and shall assume any and all liability for the same.
j. The YMCA at Virginia Tech reserves the right to refuse any application for event participation at any time, for any reason.If such refusal is made upon the application itself, a full refund of any fee or amount paid for the festival for which refusal is made will be given.
k. The YMCA at Virginia Tech is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged goods, or injuries to persons, and does not provide any guarantee or insurance against the risk of loss, damage, or injury to person or property.
l. The YMCA at Virginia Tech reserves the right, at all times and in the sole and absolute discretion of YMCA at Virginia Tech management or festival event organizers, either to deny any person – including attendees, sponsors, vendors, exhibitors or participants entry into, or to eject any such person from, a festival venue and/or event site for violation of any Y Artisan Fair Terms and Conditions, in which case no refund or any amounts paid by such person or organization shall be given.
