Welcome! We are thrilled that you are interested in bringing your flavors to a KDA Markets experience. Our food vendors are a central part of our "rooted in community" mission, providing the fuel that keeps our guests exploring. Please review the following guidelines to ensure your application meets our curated market standards.
Note for Applicants: This category is specifically for vendors preparing and serving food on-site (e.g., hot entrees, street food, made-to-order snacks). If you sell pre-packaged items, jams, or baked goods under the Texas Cottage Food Law, please apply under the "Cottage Foods & Baked Goods" category.
Accepted Food Categories: We welcome all cuisines and food types for our on-site food tents.
Our Standards
Artisanal Quality: We prioritize vendors who offer unique, "non-franchise" menus. We love seeing creative twists on classic dishes!
Professional Presentation: Your tent setup is a reflection of your brand. We look for clean, cohesive branding, clear menu boards, and professional-grade equipment.
This is an electronic agreement and by selecting the booths, you are validating and approving this agreement electronically.
About the event
Terms & Conditions
Food Vendor Terms & Conditions
By submitting an application and participating in a KDA Markets event, the Vendor agrees to the following terms and conditions:
1. Permitting & Compliance
Legal Requirements: Vendors are solely responsible for obtaining and displaying all necessary local and state health permits (e.g., Harris County, City of Houston).
Compliance: Vendors must adhere to all Texas Food Establishment Rules (TFER) and local fire marshal codes.
2. Fees & Cancellations
Payment: Booth fees must be paid in full by the deadline stated in your acceptance notice to secure your space.
Refund & Credit Policy: All booth fees are non-refundable and non-transferable under any circumstance. In the event of an official cancellation or a rescheduled date, KDA Markets will provide a vendor credit. This credit may be applied toward a future event, provided there is availability within your specific category. Please note that credits are subject to booth space and category caps.
Weather: KDA Markets events are Rain or Shine. In the event of extreme, unsafe weather (as determined by KDA Markets), the event may be rescheduled. No refunds will be issued for weather-related cancellations.
3. Setup & Logistics
Load-In/Load-Out: Vendors will receive setup instructions via email prior to the event date. Please look for an emal from Hello@KDAMarkets.com prior to the event. If you do not receive an email please let us know as soon as possible.
Booth Requirements: Vendors must provide their own professional-grade 10x10 weighted tent (minimum 25–40 lbs per leg).
Trash Management: Vendors are responsible for the removal of all trash, grease, and greywater generated by their booth. Do not use community or park trash cans for commercial waste. A $50 cleaning fee may be assessed for stalls left with debris.
4. Power & Equipment
Self-Sufficiency: Vendors must provide their complete setup, own power via quiet, low-decibel (inverter-style) generators.
Fire Safety: Any vendor using a heating element, open flame, or propane must have a currently tagged Class K or ABC fire extinguisher at their booth.
5. Safety & Wellness
Stay Home Policy: Vendors must not attend if they are feeling unwell, have symptoms of illness, or have recently tested positive for COVID-19. Please notify KDA Markets immediately if a health-related cancellation is necessary.
Conduct: We maintain a family-friendly environment. KDA Markets reserves the right to remove any vendor displaying unprofessional or disruptive behavior.
6. Media Release
Promotion: By participating, the Vendor grants KDA Markets permission to use photos and videos of their booth and products for promotional and marketing purposes on social media and our website.

8. Hold Harmless & Release of Liability
Indemnification: The Vendor agrees to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless KDA Markets, its owners, staff, and the Host Venue (including their respective boards, officers, and affiliates) from any and all claims, damages, losses, or expenses—including attorney fees—arising out of or resulting from the Vendor’s participation in the event.
Assumption of Risk: The Vendor acknowledges that participation is at their own risk. KDA Markets and the Host Venue are not liable for any personal injury, illness, or theft, loss, or damage to the Vendor’s property (including merchandise, equipment, and vehicles) occurring before, during, or after the event.
Compliance: The Vendor is responsible for maintaining a safe environment within their designated space and agrees to comply with all event safety guidelines and local ordinances.
