Stage Performer

Taste Asia Streets LLC is seeking stage performers to join us at the 2nd Asian Lunar Festival in Downtown Athens!

We welcome performers of all backgrounds whose work celebrates culture, creativity, and community.

  Instrumental acts
  Spoken word, storytelling, and more

With an expected 10,000 attendees, this is a great opportunity to showcase your talent, connect with the community, and celebrate Lunar New Year traditions.

1. Performance Agreement
By agreeing to perform at the Asian Lunar Festival, the performer/group (“Performer”) confirms that all information provided in their application is accurate and that they will appear at the scheduled performance time(s).

 
2. Scheduling
Taste Asia Streets LLC (“Organizer”) will assign performance times.
Performers must arrive at least 30 minutes before their scheduled time.
Failure to appear on time may result in cancellation of the performance.
 
3. Performance Content
Performances must be family-friendly and suitable for all ages.
No explicit language, violent content, or politically inflammatory material.
Cultural performances must be presented with accuracy and respect.
 
4. Equipment & Technical Needs
Basic sound system will be provided (microphones, speakers, mixer).
Performers must provide their own instruments, props, or specialty equipment.
Performers must notify the Organizer of any technical needs no later than Feb 1, 2026.
 
5. Setup & Safety
Performers must follow all instructions from festival staff regarding staging, safety, and traffic flow.
No open flames, hazardous materials, or unsafe props are permitted.
Performers are responsible for ensuring their act does not pose a safety risk to themselves, other performers, or attendees.
 
6. Compensation
Unless otherwise agreed in writing:

Performers participate on a voluntary/unpaid basis.
Organizer may provide promotional support, exposure, and professional photography when available.
If compensation was discussed separately, it will be confirmed in writing prior to the event.
 
7. Conduct & Behavior
Performers must act respectfully toward staff, other performers, and attendees.
Harassment, discrimination, or aggressive behavior will result in removal from the event.
Consumption of alcohol or illegal substances before or during performances is prohibited.
 
8. Insurance & Liability
Performers acknowledge they are participating at their own risk.
Organizer is not responsible for personal injury, property damage, or equipment loss.
Performers agree to hold harmless and indemnify Taste Asia Streets LLC and its partners from any claims arising from their participation.
 
9. Use of Media
Performer grants Organizer permission to photograph, record, and use images/video of their performance for promotional purposes.
Performers may request removal of specific media only if it violates privacy, safety, or contractual agreements.
 
10. Cancellations
Performers must notify the Organizer at least 7 days before the event if they cannot participate.
Organizer reserves the right to alter or cancel performances due to weather, safety concerns, or technical issues.
 
11. Compliance with Laws
Performers must comply with:

Local, state, and federal laws
City of Athens guidelines for public performances
Any instructions issued by security or event management
 
12. Acceptance of Terms
By confirming participation via email or application, the Performer agrees to all terms listed above and acknowledges that these conditions are necessary for the safety and success of the event.
