Battle of the Bands 2026

Alpharetta Arts Center is hosting its second annual Battle of the Bands competition. 

Are you ready to showcase your musical talents and compete for the title of the best band in town?

We’re looking for passionate and talented High School bands to join our Battle of the Bands event!

This is YOUR chance to perform in front of a live audience, gain exposure and win prizes!

Saturday October 17

performance to be from 6-9pm at the Alpharetta Arts Center 

• All band members should be considered youth and most of the band should still in high school.  No adults. Younger ages welcome upon review)
• All music genres welcome
• Sets should be 30 minutes/3 songs.
• Professional sound and lighting will be provided.  Backline equipment will be provided for performances.

The submission of this application does not guarantee a space for Battle of the Bands. Applicants/bands will be reviewed and invited based on the merit of the application and performance samples.

• The applicant will be required to demonstrate his/her art, craft, or performance by submitting a video for review by City staff.
• Applications may be denied for any of the following reasons: (1) Incomplete application (2) showing lack of appropriate skill level (3) Inappropriate acts within performance video displayed.  (4) Not applying as an indipendent band but as a school. 
  Minors
• All bands must apply independently of any music school affiliation. Evaluation should focus solely on the band’s performance, creativity, and artistic merit. Each band should have their own name and logo that represents them. 

Any applicant under the age of 18 must have a parent or legal guardian sign the application and be your representative on day of the Battle. 

Personal Conduct

No vulgar, lewd, or obscene dress or behavior will be tolerated.

WAIVER OF LIABILITY: On behalf of the group listed above, I understand, by my signature below, the fees, conditions, and policies provided in this application and agree to abide by them.  The group and all participants assume all responsibility for, and risks and hazards of, participation in the activity referenced above.  On behalf of the group, do hereby release Arts Alpharetta, the City of Alpharetta, the Alpharetta Recreation, Parks, and Cultural Services Department, the Recreation Commissioners, all officials, officers, supervisors, volunteers, and all other agents of the city, of any and all claims, demands, rights and causes of action of whatever kind and nature, arising from and by reason of, personal injuries, damages to property, and the consequences thereof, resulting from our participation in the activity described above and use of City of Alpharetta. I understand and agree to the terms, conditions and policies set forth in this Battle Of The Bands Application.
