Chalk Artist Application

We’re inviting skilled chalk artists to bring color and creativity to our upcoming event! This is a great opportunity to showcase your artistry in a fun, community-focused setting alongside other creatives who are passionate about chalk art.

Each artist will be provided with a 9x9 space to create their work. Participation as a chalk artist is completely free.

For those interested in selling artwork or merchandise during the event, a $50 booth fee will apply, along with submission of a valid seller’s permit. (only booths labled "CH-1- CH-5" are availble for selling) First come, first served.

This opportunity is best suited for artists who are comfortable working with chalk as a medium and ready to create engaging, high-quality pieces for a public audience.

I understand this is a temporary chalk art event

I will not use offensive or copyrighted imagery

I am responsible for my setup and materials

I understand the event starts at 10:00am and I will be on site no later than 9:00am for setup.

I understand this event is over at 1:00pm and art will be removed the following week.

In consideration of the permission by the City of Roseville (City) to accept the below named vendor in the event listed above, sponsored by the City, the undersigned hereby releases the City, its’ officers, agents, employees, and volunteers from, and waives and relinquishes any claim, liability, cause of action, damages, or costs for personal injury or property damage arising as a result of participation in said event. The undersigned acknowledges that he/she has been fully advised of the risks and potential dangers incidental to participating in the event for which this application was submitted, and voluntarily and knowingly assumes the risks of participating in such event.

Note: By signing this agreement, you are agreeing to relieve the City of liability for personal injury, wrongful death or property damage to the fullest extent permitted by law, except as may be caused by the sole and active negligence of the City. 

Photo/Video Waiver: I understand that City staff reserves the right to photograph and/or record facilities, activities and program participants for potential future use. I hereby grant permission to the City to use my photograph and/or audio/video recording for any lawful purpose, including for example such purposes as print and online advertising. I understand that I will not be paid or receive anything related to the City’s use of my photograph and/or recording. I understand that all photographs and recordings will remain the property of the City and I acknowledge the City’s right to alter or edit any photographs and/or recordings at its discretion. I agree to release the City from any and all legal claims I or a third party may have arising from the use of my photograph and/or audio/video recording
