Art Crush - Rolling Educator Application
About the application
This application is for Educators to teach at ART CRUSH held on Trade & 6th Street (500-700 blocks) in the Arts District of Winston-Salem in North Carolina.
- May 15th: Color the District
- July 17th: Winston Salem Weekend
- Sept 18th: Hispanic Heritage
- Nov 20th: Arts District Celebration
Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis and Educators will be notified 3 weeks before the ART CRUSH they are selected to teach in.

EVENT DETAILS
- Event time: 7–10 PM
- Session 1: 7:15-8:15 PM
- Session 2: 8:45-9:45 PM
- We require eductaors to stay for both sessions. 30 minutes is availabe for setup between sessions
SELECTION PROCESS
- 2 Art Educators will be selected per Art Crush to teach a beginner-level guided activity.
- Activities should be involved enough to create an immersive experience, while open enough for visitors to participate at any time within the 1-hour window.
- If you are selected, you will receive an acceptance email 3 weeks before your selected ART CRUSH, and a $100 honorarium by the Monday following ART CRUSH.
- Educator selections are based on specific criteria to create a well-rounded event. They do not reflect, in any way, your value or talent as an Art Educator; ADWS is an equal-opportunity organization.
BOOTH INFORMATION
- 10 stools & 2 6-foot tables will be provided for attendees.
- 1 6-foot table will be provided for Educators to sell merch, art kits, and promote themselves.
- Bringing tents and extra tables is acceptable
SALES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Educators are responsible for collecting their own payments.
- Educators are responsible for charging and reporting sales tax (if required).
ADDITIONAL NOTES
- Participants under 18 must have a legal guardian present if selected.
- Creative demonstrations are welcome. Please do not use open flames.
- Classes are not required to match the theme of the event
- Educators may play their own music, if desired. Please bring your own speaker.
- Please read through the logistics email before you arrive.
- Our event map is not to scale.
- You cannot park on Trade or 6th. Please read our logistics where parking options are listed.
- Lights and electricity are not provided. Please, plan ahead.
