Rescue Application

Petapalooza is back and better than ever! Join Salt Lake County Animal Services at Wheeler Historic Farm on Friday, September 11 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM and Saturday, September 12, 2025 from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM. This year dogs will remain out on the south lawn. This leaves the whole inside area for cats and little critters!

Please read the Rescue Rules and Event Details before submitting your application. This can be found under "Related Files".

Space at Petapalooza is limited. We will assign each attending rescue or shelter a number of kennels based on how many are available within the final design layout. You will be informed by September 1, 2026 how many kennels you will be assigned. We will add you as co-hosts to our Facebook event as soon as your application has been approved.

• This is an electronic agreement between you and Salt Lake County Animal Services. By submitting your application you are validating and approving this agreement electronically.
• As a rescue/shelter you agree to stay from 3 PM - 7 PM on Sept 11th and/or 9 AM - 4 PM on Sept 12, 2026 (unless all of your animals get adopted out!). If you are only interested in coming Friday or Saturday, please include that under the "Special Requests" portion.

• Event participation requirements:

• All Rescues, vendors, and individuals, must be in good standing with Salt Lake County Animal Services.

  • Those being investigated won’t be allowed to participate.

  • Those with pending charges won’t be allowed to participate.

  • Those with convictions won’t be allowed to participate.

• If your Application is approved, but your status changes and you are no longer in good standing with Salt Lake County Animal Services, you won’t be allowed to participate.  Your application status can be changed from approved to rejected at anytime.

• Participants agree to be inspected by Salt Lake County Animal Services at anytime and without warning.

  • If Participant fails the inspection, they won’t be allowed to participate.

  • Participants must also be in good standing with our event partners, to include but not limited to: the venue (Wheeler Farm), and co-hosts (Best Friends).

  • No refunds will be issued for any reasons for any fee’s already paid.
