About the application

Walnut Creek Uncorked is one of downtown’s most popular summer events, bringing hundreds of guests together for a lively evening of sipping, tasting, and exploring local businesses. During this Sip, Savor & Stroll experience, attendees visit participating downtown businesses who offer "tasting stops" featuring wine pours, select spirits, non-alcoholic beverages, and delicious bites while enjoying live music and special in-store experiences along the way.

 

Event Details:

  • Thursday, June 18, 2026 from 5:00 PM – 8:30 PM
  • 750+ Guests
  • 30+ Stops on Sip & Stroll Route 
  • 60+ Participating Businesses, Pouring Partners & Vendors

Participants will either:

  • Host a tasting stop at their downtown business 
  • Be paired with a downtown business as a pouring/tasting partner 
  • Participate as a vendor at one of our starting locations 

There will be two starting locations for the event:

  • Rudney Plaza at the Lesher Center
  • Additional starting location (TBD)

Event Boundaries:

  • Please view the Event Boundaries Map attached below.
  • The event boundaries are meant to keep the participating businesses within a walking distance to ensure attendees have the ability to visit all stops on the map. All businesses who register as a "Downtown Stop" must be located within the Event Boundaries.
  • If you are located outside of the event boundaries, you may register as: Starting Location Booth, Vendor Pop-Up Table, Pouring Partner, or Tasting Partner.

Important - Please Note:

  • Spaces are limited and granted on a first-come, first-served basis.
  • All participating businesses will be listed on our event website and on the event map.
  • The registration fee covers the staff time to coordinate the event, marketing materials and campaign, and the ABC permit provided to your business. If you are unable to pay the registration fee, please contact the WCD team to discuss your options. 
  • Tickets to the event are not included in your registration. If you are interested in purchasing tickets for your team, please contact WCD for special pricing.
  • Partner Pairings - if you select the option to have WCD coordinator your beverage partner, coordinating with them is your responsibility. Coordinating staffing, arrival of beverages/food, and setup of your space is your responsibility. Once pairings are finalized, you will be provided with all of the contact information needed to coordinate with your partners.

Terms & Conditions

By submitting this application, you agree to the following:

  • Participation is subject to approval by Walnut Creek Downtown.
  • Businesses must operate within all local health and alcohol service regulations.
  • Alcohol tastings must be served responsibly and in small sample sizes.
  • Vendors are responsible for providing their own setup materials unless otherwise noted.
  • Booth vendors must provide their own tents, tables, chairs, and event supplies.
  • Pop-up table vendors may only use the space provided and may not bring tents.
  • Downtown businesses must remain open and actively participating during event hours (5:00-8:30pm).
  • Fees are non-refundable once accepted into the event.

Additional event instructions and logistics will be shared with approved participants closer to the event date.

Prices

Downtown Stop (without pairing) $125.00 Non-refundable Businesses (retail, restaurant, services) with a storefront located within the downtown event boundaries. You will be a designated "stop" on the map and attendees will visit your store during the event. Businesses must provide their own alcoholic beverage tastings and food samples.
Downtown Stop (with pairing) $250.00 Non-refundable Businesses (retail, restaurant, services) with a storefront located within the downtown event boundaries. You will be a designated "stop" on the map and attendees will visit your store during the event. Downtown WC will pair you with a pouring partner for the event! We will pair you with a local beverage purveyor who will provide tastings at your retail location during the event. You are still required to provide food tastings. Please note, pairings are at our discretion considering those who have expressed interest. Partners are limited and are first come, first paired. We are unable to accommodate special requests and encourage you to make your own arrangements if you have a request or desire.
Starting Location Booth $300.00 Non-refundable Businesses and organizations located outside of the downtown event boundaries. You will receive a 10x10 space (includes the space only, must provide own tent, tables, chairs, and supplies). Starting Location Booths are all located in Rudney Plaza at The Lesher Center.
Vendor Pop-Up Table $125.00 Non-refundable Businesses located outside of the downtown event boundaries. This is only available for small businesses and artisans selling products. You will receive an 8' Space with room for a 6' Table display (Only the space is provided, vendor must provide table, chairs, and event supplies. Storage space is limited to under the table and no pop-ups are allowed). You will either be located at one of the Starting Locations or paired with a downtown business (we will coordinate this with you if selected).
Pouring or Tasting Partner $0.00 Non-refundable Visiting wineries, distilleries, beverage brands, or food providers (located outside of event boundaries) who will be paired with a downtown business to serve samples during the event.
