About the application
Summer Sunsets at Thompson’s Point is a weekly outdoor concert and community event series held throughout the summer season. The series brings together live music, local vendors, and food trucks in a vibrant, family-friendly setting on the Point.
This application is for food trucks and local businesses/makers interested in participating as on-site vendors. Food trucks will be located on the lawn, while local businesses and makers will be set up in 10x10 spaces under the Depot.
Selected vendors will serve event attendees during designated event hours and must be fully self-contained, properly licensed, and prepared for high-volume service.
Please note that submission of this application does not guarantee acceptance.
Food trucks will be curated based on cuisine type, menu diversity, operational readiness, and overall event fit to ensure a well-balanced and successful food lineup for each date. Local businesses and makers will be selected with an emphasis on product variety, quality, and alignment with the overall event experience.
Application Process
1) Submit Your Application
Complete the application for your desired event date(s) and agree to Thompson’s Point terms and conditions.
2) Application Review
Thompson’s Point reviews all applications to ensure a balanced mix of vendors. Due to the high volume of submissions and category limits, some applicants may be placed on a waitlist or may not be selected for participation.
3) Vendor Payment
If approved, you will receive a notification to complete payment for your vendor space. Payment must be submitted in full to secure your spot.
4) Event Details & Logistics
Confirmed vendors will receive event details, including load-in instructions and logistics, in the week leading up to Summer Sunsets.

SUMMER SUNSETS AT THOMPSON’S POINT
Vendor Agreement (2026)
This Vendor Agreement is entered into between Forefront Events, LLC / Brick South LLC (“Thompson’s Point”) and the undersigned vendor. By signing this agreement, the vendor agrees to the following terms and conditions for participation in Summer Sunsets at Thompson’s Point.
PARTICIPATION
This agreement grants the vendor a revocable, non-exclusive license to operate during approved Summer Sunsets event dates.
Vendors may only operate on approved dates and within the designated area assigned by Thompson’s Point. Vendor placement may be modified at any time to support event operations.
This agreement is a revocable license only and does not create a lease or tenancy.
CANCELLATION POLICY
Vendors must provide written notice of withdrawal of a date at least fourteen (14) days prior to their confirmed event date to receive a refund.
Cancellations made within fourteen (14) days of the scheduled event may impact the vendor’s eligibility to participate in future events at Thompson’s Point, including those hosted by Brick South, Halo Studios, and the State Theatre and are not eligible for a refund.
Thompsons’ Point has a no-tolerance policy for no-shows. In the event of a no-show without 24-hours notice to sunsets@thompsonspointevents.com, vendor may be removed from the Thompson’s Point Summer Sunsets and Summer Concerts rotation at Thompson’s Point’s sole discretion and the vendor will remain responsible for the fee owed to Thompson’s Point for that date.
Thompson’s Point cannot guarantee alternative dates for vendors who cancel a previously confirmed participation.
If Thompson’s Point cancels an event due to severe weather, public safety concerns, or other circumstances beyond its control, vendor fees for that event will be refunded in full.
Thompson's Point may, in its sole discretion, delay, modify, or end an event early for any reason. In the case of a late cancellation due to weather after 10:00AM, vendor fees will be refunded.
WAITLIST
If a vendor space becomes available for a date previously requested but not assigned, Thompson’s Point may contact the vendor to offer participation.
Waitlist opportunities may be offered on short notice and will be extended on a first-come, first-served basis, taking into account menu balance and event needs.
Vendors are not obligated to accept a waitlist opportunity.
VENDOR FEES
Vendor participation fees are as follows:
Food Trucks: $150 per event
Vendor Booth (5’x10’ under the Depot): $100 per event
Vendor fees will be automatically charged to the card on file two (2) weeks prior to the scheduled event date.
Cancellations made after this charge has been processed are non-refundable, unless the event is canceled by Thompson’s Point due to weather or other unforeseen circumstances.
Vendors are responsible for ensuring that the payment method on file is valid at the time charges are processed. Failure to successfully process payment may result in cancellation of the vendor’s participation for that event.
Vendor fees are not dependent on event attendance or individual sales performance.
EVENT LOGISTICS & OPERATIONS
Confirmed vendors will receive event logistics and load-in instructions the week prior to their scheduled date. This will include arrival details, setup instructions, and day-of contact information.
Arrival & Setup (updated for 2026)
Vendor arrival time is 4:00 PM
The gate will close at 4:45 PM sharp for a 5:00 PM event start
Vendors arriving after gate closure may be denied entry at the discretion of Thompson’s Point
All trucks must unhitch, and no additional vehicles are permitted within the event area unless otherwise approved
Vendors must be fully self-contained. Power is not guaranteed unless explicitly approved in advance.
During the Event
Vendors must be fully set up and ready to serve by event start
Vendors must remain open for the duration of the event
From 4:45 PM until dismissal, no vehicle movement is permitted within the event area
Vendor placement is determined at the sole discretion of Thompson’s Point
All vendors must comply with spacing and safety requirements, including City of Portland regulations
Breakdown & Departure
Vendors must remain on site until officially dismissed by Thompson’s Point or security staff
Dismissal time typically occurs between 8:00 PM – 9:00 PM, depending on crowd flow and full pedestrian clearance
Early breakdown is not permitted
No overnight parking is allowed on site
FOOD & BEVERAGE POLICY
Thompson’s Point will provide full bar service. Vendors may not sell alcoholic beverages.
Food vendors may sell soft drinks and water, but no other beverages.
All items sold must comply with applicable laws and match the vendor’s approved offerings.
SITE CONDITIONS & CLEANLINESS
Vendors are responsible for maintaining a clean and sanitary space.
All trash, grease, and wastewater must be properly contained and removed by vendor. Disposal on site is strictly prohibited.
Vendors are responsible for any damage and all cleanup required as a result of their operations.
LICENSING & INSURANCE
All vendors must maintain all required licenses and permits, including a valid City of Portland license.
Proof of licensing must be submitted within two (2) weeks of receiving this agreement.
Vendors must have Liability Insurance with a minimum coverage of
$1,000,000 per occurrence. Licensee must provide a Certificate of Insurance naming the following entities as Additional Insured:

Failure to provide required documentation at least 48 hours prior to the event may result in cancellation.

MARKETING
In participating in Summer Sunsets, vendor agrees to permit its likeness, logo, and any photographic or video content showing same to be used by Thompson’s Point and other participating vendors and sponsors in their various marketing channels.
WEATHER & EVENT CHANGES
Summer Sunsets is a rain-or-shine event unless conditions are deemed unsafe.
In the event of anticipated severe weather, Thompson’s Point will make every effort to make a cancellation decision by 10:00 AM on the day of the event, and vendors will be notified via email.
If inclement weather occurs after the event has begun, vendors must follow all directions provided by Thompson’s Point staff and/or security.
Thompson’s Point reserves the right to delay, modify, or cancel the event at any time due to weather or other circumstances.
LIABILITY & INDEMNIFICATION
Vendors operate at their own risk and are solely responsible for their operations, staff, equipment, and products.
Vendors agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Thompson’s Point, its affiliates, employees, and partners from any claims, damages, or liabilities arising from their participation.
GENERAL TERMS
Vendors must comply with all applicable local, state, and federal laws and regulations.
Vendors operate as independent contractors and are not employees, partners, or agents of Thompson’s Point.
Vendor participation is non-transferable and may not be assigned, shared, or resold without written approval from Thompson’s Point.
Thompson’s Point reserves the right to remove any vendor at any time for safety concerns, non-compliance, or operational needs, or for any other purpose Thompson’s Point deems necessary in its sole discretion.
In the event of an emergency impacting public safety, vendors must follow all instructions from Thompson’s Point staff and may be required to cease operations or vacate the premises immediately.
