Queerolina invites community-aligned organizations, health professionals, mutual aid groups, artists, and small businesses to apply to vend at our LGBTQ+ and BIPOC-centered leadership and safety event.

 

Important Notes:
 -Vendor fee is $50
 -Vendor fees are non-refundable.
 -This event will take place rain or shine.
 -By applying, vendors agree to follow all event Terms & Conditions and venue rules.
 -Submission of an application does not guarantee acceptance. This is a curated market with limited space.

 

About the event

ABC’s of Community Readiness: Protest Safety is A Queer + BIPOC Centered Health, Safety & Leadership Event Hosted by Queerolina in collaboration with One Day at a Time, EqualityNC, and Carolina Migrant Network, this event is a space for underrepresented communities to gather, learn, and strengthen collective care. This event was developed by Nurse Nikki as part of her Master’s in Nursing capstone project, focusing on community empowerment and improving healthcare equity for queer and BIPOC individuals. What You’ll Experience -A health-fair style vendor and resource market -Educational workshops (CPR, Stop the Bleed, protest readiness, advocacy skills) -Cultural competence resources for healthcare providers -Community networking opportunities -Performances from local artists -Raffle / silent auction benefiting community organizations -Pre- and post-event survey opportunities to strengthen future funding and research This is not just a market. It is a structured, community-informed space designed to help people learn how to: -Advocate for themselves in healthcare settings -Support others during emergencies or protests -Navigate discrimination reporting processes -Strengthen grassroots and mutual aid networks Admission is free. Vendors and instructors are curated to ensure alignment with community-centered values.

Terms & Conditions

Vendor Spaces, Capacity & Setup
-41 total vendor spaces available
       -7 indoor vendors
       -33 outdoor vendors
-1 food truck

 

Event Timeline & Expectations
-Vendor setup begins: 8 AM
-All vehicles must be moved by: 9:30 AM
-Market opens: 10 AM

 

Vendor hours:

-Vendors are asked to vend from 10AM-4PM
-Early breakdown during active market hours must be approved by event staff
-Final teardown must be completed by: 5 PM

 

Outdoor Vendor Spaces
Booth size: 10’ x 10’
-Vendors are required to bring:
--Their own tent
--Tables, chairs, displays
--All necessary weights and securing materials


Outdoor vendors should plan for possible weather changes.


Indoor Vendor Spaces
-Indoor vendors will have room for one 6’ table
--Vendors must bring their own table and display materials unless otherwise specified.

This is not a resale market. We are prioritizing:

-Nonprofits & advocacy groups
-Healthcare providers
-Community educators
-Mutual aid networks
-Emergency preparedness instructors
-Grassroots organizations
-Artists whose work aligns with empowerment, safety, and healing

 

We strongly encourage applications from:

-BIPOC focused organizations
Queer focused organizations
-Immigrant advocacy groups
-Healthcare equity advocates

 

This is a health-fair style event with structured programming, educational workshops, and community networking. We are prioritizing vendors who provide:

-Health education
-Safety tools or training
-Mutual aid resources
-Advocacy services
-Cultural competence education
-Community support services
-Values-aligned creative goods (ex: using some profits to donate to community, or using creations to advocate for mental health)
-Original, handmade, or artist-designed work
-Are directly involved in the design and/or production of what they sell
-The more unique and value-aligned your work is, the better.

 

VALUES & EXPECTATIONS

-All vendors and products must be respectful of all marginalized communities.
-Hate speech, harmful imagery, or exclusionary messaging will not be tolerated.
-To ensure a balanced market, we may limit duplicate product types.
-Be prepared for structured programming flow
-Participate in community surveys (required for capstone data collection)

-Have a desire to help the community in some way


This event centers queer and BIPOC safety and empowerment. Alignment with these values is required for acceptance.

-Applications are reviewed based on quality, originality, and fit with the overall event.
