Join our Alberta Approved, Mahogany SE Farmers Market every Wednesday 3-7pm from June 3 to September 23, 2026 (excluding July 1) and share with everyone what you have to offer. Market takes place outdoors, rain or shine, in the publicly accessible Mahogany Central Green. We hope to see you here!
About the event
Terms & Conditions
Our Alberta Approved, Mahogany SE Farmers Market is a family-friendly space run by the Mahogany Homeowners Association (Mahogany HOA), and their team of dedicated staff led by the Market Manager/Coordinators. The Mahogany Farmers Market cannot guarantee a permanent spot for any vendor. Location is subject to change at any time deemed necessary by the Market Team. The Farmers Market is unable to guarantee exclusivity to any vendor for any product however, product selection will be considered.
Priority for vendor selection, in order:
● Vendors of agricultural products where they are the grower/producer. Top priority is given to local farmers and producers who bring product that is 100% grown or raised within 300 km of the market. Local farmers who use low-environment impact growing, raising, and harvesting methods, and those with organic certification
● Vendors who make, bake, or grow the product(s) they are selling
● Vendors selling value added or Craft/Artisan products that they make by their own hand. Vendors who source ingredients or components locally (Alberta) and directly from producers
● Vendors of out-of-province agricultural products must only be 20% and 80% Alberta
● Vendors who do not have an existing storefront or retail agreements that require regular wholesale sales are prioritised before those that do
● Vendors of out-of-province food or Artisan items are only considered if their products are considered essential to the market mix. Priority given to vendors that make the products or can demonstrate their personal involvement in the production of the products offered for sale
● Vendors of primarily or only “resale” items are generally NOT approved and may only be approved for attendance under special circumstances as determined by the market manager
The Mahogany Farmers Market will be held from June 3 to September 23 (excluding July 1) every Wednesday from 3–7pm. The Market will operate rain or shine in the Mahogany Central Green
Submitting an application does not guarantee a space in the Market. If your application is accepted, all other documentation will be required, including payment. Please refer to the links listed in the attachment for further information.
Vendor Fees:
1. Approved Vendors are required to make payments prior to the start of the Market. Payment plans can be arranged to assist with the ease of payments.
2. All payments are non-refundable, unless the event is cancelled by the Mahogany Homeowners Association (Mahogany HOA).
3. Rescheduling of market dates is done at the discression of the Market Manager and must be pre-approved.
Vendor Spaces:
1. Assigned space provided will be aprox. 12'x12'. Tables, chairs and protection from the elements is the responsibility of the individual market vendor. Tents must be certified to CAN UCL s109M fire rating, properly weighted down and staking is not permitted (due to the asphalt surface and irrigation lines). All equipment must be in good, safe working condition.
2. Vendors using generators must have an absorbent material (Fuel Spill Kit) on site in case of a generator fuel spill. A large spill will require City of Calgary Fire Department – Hazardous materials section to be called.
3. CSA (Canadian Standard Association) approved propane fueled appliances are permitted. Propane tanks must be stored outside the tents with a minimum 3 metre clearance and tank must be ancored to keep from tipping over. Grills and heating elements must be placed on a fire-resistant grease proof protective surface to protect the park features. Vendors are required to have an operational fire extinguisher present.
4. Vendors are responsible for their own signage, product displays, décor, payment methods, change, etc.
5. Food items must be labelled prior to sale. See attached document for guidelines.
6. Load in may begin as early as 1pm (two hours prior) and vendors must be ready to start at 3pm. Load out time starts at the end of the event at 7pm. Vendors who decide to pack up early may be asked NOT to return to future market dates and no refunds will be issued.
7. Each vendor is required to remove all garbage, boxes and packaging they brought in. The space must be as clean as it was when you arrived. Dumping your garbage in or around the guest garbage receptacles will not be allowed.
Insurance:
1. Artisan food permitted if items are low-risk foods, vendor has food handling permit and/or they provide a Certificate of Insurance.
2. All Vendors are encouraged to carry individual liability insurance on their products and displays for the duration of all market attended dates. See attachment for further details.
3. Vendors selling or sampling consumable food products (includes pet food products) are required to obtain and display valid AHS permits, certificates and/or licenses.
4. Vendors MUST meet and follow all applicable laws and compliance is mandatory. Vendor Notification Forms need to be submitted prior to you market date. Failure to do so may result in not being able to participate as a vendor.
Proper Conduct:
1. Vendors should be neat and clean in appearance.
2. Vendors are expected to conduct themselves in a professional manner at all times. Rudeness, loud, and/or profane language, arguing or harassment will be considered grounds for dismissal from the market, without refund.
3. Discrimination will not be tolerated. Insubordination, the consumption of alcohol or drugs, and fighting during the market will be cause for immediate dismissal. Warnings will not be required, nor refunds given.
4. Vendors are asked to park on the local community streets surrounding the market area, so shoppers can access the market. If shoppers cannot find parking, they WILL leave. No exceptions (unless cleared by the Market Manager ahead of time).
Prohibited Items:
1. No illicit drug paraphernalia;
2. No live animals;
3. No fire arms or ammunition;
4. No open flames or combustible materials;
5. No sexual items.
Inclement Weather:
1. In severe or inclement weather, Mahogany HOA may temporarily close the Mahogany Farmers Market and re-open when it is safe to do so. The Market Manager will communicate any closures to the Vendors on sight in person, through text, email, and Social Media.
Indemnification:
1. MHOA, its officers, directors, managers, employees, agents and members, and Hopewell Management LP and Hopewell Residential LP and their respective officers, directors, managers, employees and agents (collectively the “Indemnified Parties”) assume no responsibility for, and will NOT be liable for any lost, stolen, or misplaced merchandise or equipment at the event. The Vendor shall hereby expressly relieve and discharge the Indemnified Parties from any and all liability for any loss, damage, injury or death to persons or property that may be sustained by reason of entry upon the venue and/or the occupancy of the market space designated to you under this agreement. Security of you and your possessions is your responsibility and no dedicated security will be furnished by the Mahogany HOA or the Market Manager. The Indemnified Parties shall not be liable for any damages or expenses you may incur should any event be delayed or cancelled.
