Welcome to the Hot Corner Festival 2026! We are excited to announce that the festival will be a three-day event, culminating with the main festival celebration on June 13th! We appreciate your interest and participation.The Food Vendor application is for food vendors, including food businesses, tents, and booths, that will be selling prepared food and beverages for on-site consumption.

Please review the available application materials carefully and feel free to reach out with any questions. This agreement is completed electronically, and by proceeding, you acknowledge, validate, and approve the terms of this agreement in electronic form.

 

This is a rain or shine event. All fees are non-refunable.

About the event

For 25 years, the Hot Corner Association has celebrated and uplifted the heart of Athens’ African-American business community through the Hot Corner Festival. Held annually on the second weekend in June, this vibrant block-party brings together local businesses, great food, and live entertainment while highlighting the rich history and cultural legacy of the Hot Corner for the entire Athens community. Beyond the festival, the Hot Corner Association is dedicated to enhancing the economic vitality and growth of businesses in downtown Athens by developing educational workshops, special events, and initiatives that encourage, promote, and support business diversity. Terms & Conditions

Food Vendor Terms & Conditions:

 

  1. Application & Approval
    All food vendors must submit a completed application by the stated deadline. Submission does not guarantee acceptance. The Festival Committee reserves the right to approve or deny any vendor based on product type, space availability, and overall event needs.
  2. Fees & Payment
    Vendor fees must be paid in full by the specified deadline to secure participation. This is a rain or shine event and fees are non-refundable.
  3. Licenses & Permits
    Vendors must comply with all local, state, and federal health regulations. Required documentation may include: 1) Current food service permit 2) Health department approval
    3) Business license 4) Fire permit (if applicable) 5) Copies of all required permits may be requested in advance of the event and should be readily available on-site during the festival.
  4. Insurance
    Vendors may be required to provide proof of general liability insurance naming the festival and its organizers as additionally insured.
  5. Menu Approval
    All menu items must be listed on the application and approved in advance. Unauthorized menu changes are not permitted. The festival reserves the right to limit duplicate food offerings.
  6. Setup & Breakdown
    Vendors must arrive during assigned setup times and be fully operational by the festival opening time. Early breakdown or departure before the event ends is not permitted without prior approval.
  7. Booth Requirements
    Vendors are responsible for providing their own booth, tent, tables, chairs, and extension cords unless otherwise stated. Tents must be properly weighted and meet safety requirements.
  8. Booth Assignment
    Booth locations are assigned at the discretion of the Festival Committee. Requests for specific locations may be considered but are not guaranteed.
  9. Health, Safety & Sanitation
    Vendors must maintain clean, sanitary conditions at all times. This includes proper food handling, waste disposal, and adherence to health department standards. Failure to comply may result in immediate removal without refund.
  10. Power & Utilities
    Vendors must specify electrical needs in advance. The festival is not responsible for power outages or equipment failures.
  11. Fire & Cooking Safety
    Open flames, grills, fryers, and propane tanks must meet fire code regulations. Fire extinguishers are required in all food vendor booths using heat or flame.
  12. Waste & Grease Disposal
    Vendors are responsible for proper disposal of trash, grease, and wastewater. Dumping or leaving trash, grease or liquids on festival grounds is strictly prohibited.
  13. Weather Policy
    The festival will take place rain or shine. Vendors are responsible for protecting their equipment and supplies from weather conditions.
  14. Indemnification & Liability
    Vendors agree to hold harmless and indemnify the festival, its organizers, sponsors, and volunteers from any claims, damages, or losses arising from their participation.
  15. Code of Conduct
    Vendors must conduct themselves in a professional and respectful manner. Disorderly conduct, unsafe behavior, or failure to follow festival rules may result in removal from the event.

 

 

Agreement & Acceptance
Participation in the festival constitutes agreement to all terms and conditions. By submitting an electronic application, vendors acknowledge and accept these terms electronically.
