Do you love decorating for the holidays? Share your festive spirit with the community by opening your home for this year’s Holiday Home Tour!

We’re looking for homeowners who take pride in their holiday décor—whether your style is classic, cozy, or creative.

Selected homes will be featured on the tour for visitors to admire and enjoy. It’s a wonderful way to spread cheer, showcase your holiday style, and be part of a favorite local tradition!

December 12th will be a VIP tour that starts at 7pm with guests enjoying refreshments and then being taken via bus to each home.

December 13th will be self-guided tours that can be enjoyed from 4pm to 7pm.

Each homeowner will be assigned a volunteer to assist with 

- Greeting visitors as they arrive and helping create a welcoming atmosphere.

- Checking for event bracelets to ensure only authorized guests enter the home.

- Distributing shoe covers (or reminding guests to use them) before entry.

- Connecting with the homeowner to understand the home’s history, features, and holiday décor highlights so

    you can share that information with visitors. 

- Observing for safety — watch for trip hazards, overcrowding, or any issues that may need attention.

- Protecting the home’s contents — keep an eye out to ensure decorations and personal items remain

    secure during the tour.

By submitting this applicaton you agree

• to open your home on the above dates and times to visitors who have purchased Holiday Home Tour tickets through the Palestine Area Chamber of Commerce.
• to do your best to create a festive Christmas environment inside and outside your home through the use of lights, decorations, sound, smells, and hospitality.
• to be available to educate volunteer greeters about the history of your home and its unique qualities.
• to allow the Palestine Herald Press and the Palestine Area Chamber of Commerce to publish a photo of the exterior of your home and list your address prior to the event in order to advertise the Holiday Homes Tour to the public
• to hereby release, discharge, and hold harmless the Palestine Area Chamber of Commerce, its officers, directors, employees, members, sponsors, volunteers, and affiliates from any and all liability, claims, demands, or causes of action that may arise from or relate to your participation in the Holiday Homes Tour event and opening your home/ property to the public, including any injury, illness, or property damage.
