About the application
Thank you for your interest in performing at the 3rd annual Lan-Sing: Music for the Soul event! Please note that this form serves as an application for consideration only. Submitting does not guarantee a performance slot. All applicants will be reviewed, and a representative will contact you if your group is selected to perform or if additional information is needed. Important: This is a non-paid community performance opportunity.
Performance Details:
- Time slots are approximately 10-20 minutes each.
- This is a plug-and-play setup. Standard sound and microphones will be provided.
- A backline will NOT be provided. Musicians must bring their own instruments, guitar and/or bass amps, and any additional equipment they require.
Hosted by the Lansing Human Relations Commission, the 3rd annual Lan-Sing: Music for the Soul invites the community to come together for a free celebration of inspirational music and unity. This uplifting event will showcase the diverse sounds, voices, and spirit that reflect Lansing's rich cultural fabric.

- I understand that Lan-Sing: Music for the Soul is a non-paid community performance opportunity. If selected to perform, I agree to be available to perform within the event timeframe of 1:00 PM - 5:00 PM on Sunday, May 31, 2026, as well as the backup rain date of Sunday, June 7, 2026.
- I agree to release, indemnify, and hold harmless the Village of Lansing, Fox Pointe, and all event staff, representing or affiliated with Lan-Sing: Music for the Soul event from any and all liability, claims, or damages arising out of my participation in this event. I further certify that I have read, understand, and agree to abide by all event rules and guidelines.
