Join us in Downtown Ellijay on Friday, November 28th, at 6:00 PM for the Merry Mountain Town Parade!

This year’s theme, “Merry Mountain Town,” is inspired by the charm, beauty, and bounty of Gilmer County, and is a chance to celebrate everything that makes our home so special. This family-friendly event is the perfect way to kick off the holidays in Ellijay.

Certificates will be awarded for first, second, and third-place floats that best align with the theme. Applications close on Friday, November 14th at 5:00 PM.

By signing this application, the applicant certifies that the person signing has the authority to do so, and agrees on behalf of themselves, their organization, and any affiliates, representatives, employees, successors, or assigns (collectively “Releasors”) to release, indemnify, and hold harmless the Gilmer Chamber and the City of Ellijay, Georgia, its officers, employees, agents, and representatives (collectively “Releasees”) from any and all claims, liabilities, damages, losses, or expenses—known or unknown—arising out of or related to participation in the event.

The Releasors further agree not to sue or bring any action against the Releasees for injuries or damages resulting from the event, regardless of cause. The Gilmer Chamber and City of Ellijay assume no responsibility for any property belonging to the applicant.

Participation is subject to weather or other circumstances beyond the event coordinator’s control. The event coordinator reserves the right to cancel or modify the event without liability.
