Businesses and organizations are invited to apply to participate in the 8th Grade Career Exploration Fair. Exhibitors will engage with more than 1,500 local students, providing information and interactive experiences to showcase potential career paths in our community. Participation is free, but registration is required.

About the event

Opening the eyes of middle school students to potential careers is the focus of the Blount County Career Exploration Fair. Presented by the Blount Partnership, the event introduces rising high school students to business leaders and employers while giving them brief hands-on experiences as they ponder potential career paths with local companies. More than 1,500 students from all Blount County and Maryville and Alcoa city middle schools, along with local private schools participate. Companies are represented in the fields of finance, internet technology, computer science, architecture, construction, HVAC, manufacturing, government, law, health science, food science, culinary, education and other career areas. Soft skills sessions are also offered to give students guidance on handshakes, interview etiquette, dressing for success and quick pitches.

Participation in the 8th Grade Career Exploration Fair is free of charge; however, advance registration is required.
Exhibitors must provide age-appropriate, educational, and interactive career-related activities or information.
All displays and materials must remain in place for the duration of the event.
The Blount Partnership reserves the right to approve or deny applications to ensure a balanced representation of industries.
Exhibitors are responsible for their own materials, equipment, and any special setup needs.
The organizers are not responsible for loss or damage to exhibitor property.

Photo Release
By participating in the 8th Grade Career Exploration Fair, exhibitors grant the Blount Partnership permission to photograph or record the event, including exhibitor displays and interactions. Photos and videos may be used in promotional materials, publications, and social media without compensation.
