Location: Street-level windows, Harrison Center, 1505 N. Delaware Street. They face N Delaware St, 16th Street, and our back parking lot.
Selection Criteria: Designs will be selected based upon aesthetic design, visual impact on pedestrian and vehicular traffic, and appropriateness of content (should be appropriate for all audiences). To be considered, entries must incorporate lights. The more the better!
Compensation: Selected artists will receive $100 per window installation. An additional $50 will be paid if the display is completed AND approved by Wednesday, October 29th.
Please describe your concept in writing and attach a mock-up (sketch, photo, computer-generated image) of your window installation with as much detail as possible. 22 windows are available, ranging in size from approximately 39” x 36” x 34” to 55” x 36” x 14”.
Power strips & light timers will be provided to each window, but artists must incorporate light into the design for the window. The more, the better!
Please keep longevity in mind; these installations are up for four months.
List of items not allowed: No battery-powered or solar-powered lights, no spray snow on the glass of the window, no food, bird seed, or perishable items, and absolutely no glitter.
