About the application
The City of Lilburn proudly presents the Annual Lilburn Christmas Parade on Saturday December 6, 2025. The parade begins at 10 am and will travel down Main St., ending at Lilburn City Park. The route is about 1 mile and all participants are required to complete the entire route.
PURPOSE: The primary purpose of the City of Lilburn Christmas Parade is entertainment value and to highlight community-members, performers, and groups.
AWARDS: New this year we will be giving trophies for the following categories; Santa's Favorite Award - best float, Elf Magic Award - most creative entry, Jingle Bell Rock Award best musical group or dance team.
PARADE STAGING INSTRUCTIONS: Staging locations and event load in instructions will be emailed to the application contact closer to the event date.
INCLEMENT WEATHER: In the event of bad weather on the day of the parade, all applicants will be notified at least 24 hours in advance. You can check updates at www.cityoflilburn.com and the City of Lilburn Facebook page @CityOfLilburn.
ENTRY FEE:
- The entry fee will be charged to your credit card on file with Eventeny once your application has been reviewed and approved.
- You will receive an email once your application has been approved.
- Parade Sponsors receive one free entry. If you would like to be a parade sponsor please contact jminnoia@cityoflilburn.com.
- Military or Public Safety units are free
- Lilburn Public Schools - Free (Marching bands, Drill Teams, Cheerleaders, Sports Teams, and clubs).
- Entry fee for entries providing an entertainment value, as deemed by the City of Lilburn $25.00. We welcome decorated bikes, pets, HOA groups, friend, family, and neighbor groups.
- Entry fee for Commercial entries $100.00 and you must provide an entertainment value such as float, costumed characters, decorated vehicle.

PARADE PARTICIPANT RULES/INFORMATION:
- Please read all rules.
- This event is rain or shine.
- Each entry must submit a separate application.
- All entries should provide an entertainment value (decorated float, costumed walkers, dancers, decorated cars, bikes, golf carts, trailers, etc.)
- All entries must be approved by the City of Lilburn and must abide by parade rules.
- Entertainers should not stop to perform routines along the parade route.
- All participants may display the logo, name, and location of their organization/business. However, only entries that have paid the commercial fee may display an advertisement.
- No entry may use Santa Clause. Santa will have his own float in the parade.
- Please do not start to pass out candy until your group is on Main Street and moving along in the parade route. Make sure you have enough candy for the entire parade route.
- Do not toss candy from floats. You should have people walking alongside your float to hand out candy along the parade route.
- If your group includes participants under the age of 18, the organization representative that completes the parade application is responsible for the parade participants with their group.
- An adult responsible for the group members under the age of 18 must remain with the group at all times.
- Participants riding in vehicles or floats must provide their own vehicles and drivers. Insurance and liability are the responsibility of the participants.
- The maximum float size is 15" wide x 12" high x 30' long.
- Floats should be fire retardant and have a proper fire extinguisher on board.
- Floats should have hand holds for standing participants and/or secure seating.
- Vans, cars, and trucks are allowed if they meet one of the following criteria: Pulling a float, Classic vehicle at least 25 years or older, unless part of an official car club entry, carrying beauty queens or government officials, or a paid commercial entry.
- We discourage support vehicles for walking units or marching bands.
- All equestrian or animal entries must provide their own cleanup crew. Animals must be kept under control at all times and are not permitted to enter the spectator area.
- All bike riders, skaters, and equestrian riders must wear helmets and appropriate safety gear.
- All vehicles towing a unit must have safety chains between the pulling unity and the float. The float MUST be secured.
- No vehicles are to spin tires, rev engines or cause a commotion of any kind while participating in the parade.
- If this is violated, your entry will be removed from the parade.
- Vehicles must be street legal.
- The Lilburn Police Department and Lilburn Christmas Parade organizers reserve the right to refuse any participants found to be not abiding by the parade rules or those deemed a safety concern.

- Indemnification. Parade participants shall indemnify and hold harmless the City of Lilburn, its agents, employees, and public officials from and against any and all claims, damages, losses and liabilities whatsoever their nature, cause of origin, and whether or not atrributable to the negligence of parade participant, its agents, contractors or employees or to the use or occupancy of the designated area or any other portion of the City of Lilburn by parade participants, its agents, employees and invitee. I agree to abide by all parade rules listed in this application.
