About the application
BAND CATEGORY DESCRIPTION:
Parade entries are encouraged to be creative through costumes, materials, and ideas when developing their entries. HOLIDAY LIGHTS, LIGHTS, LIGHTS! is this year’s theme. Let’s light up Water Street! This is a lighted night parade, the incorporation of lights is mandatory.
BAND ENTRY:

High School Band (Jazz, Marching, etc…)
Junior High School Band (Jazz, Marching, etc…)
Independent Band
All participants and equipment must be dropped off and picked up outside the Parade Staging area. Please plan ahead.
· Band transport vehicles are NOT PERMITTED as part of entry (unless Independent Band is playing on/in vehicle, such as an open trailer), no transport busses, no box trucks, no box trailers, etc.., such vehicles will not be allowed within the Parade Staging area.
· Entry to include band participants only
· Participant Pick-Up after the parade designated on Magnesium St.
· School Bus Parking / Equipment Trailer Parking designated on Magnesium St.
· BANDS ONLY! ALL BANDS WILL EXIT the Parade Route using W. Victory Rd. at Iron St.
PLEASE LET ALL PARENTS, CHAPERONES, etc... know where student pick-up/bus parking will be.

Maximum Size Parameters Allowed At Parade Staging – BAND CATEGORY:
Band (Marching / On Foot): 15’x100’
Band On/In Vehicle: 15’x45’ (size includes trailer and tow vehicle)
When submitting your Entry Size:
· OVERALL, ENTRIES MUST NOT BE WIDER THAN 15 FEET OR TALLER THAN 17 FEET
· Provided Length must include tow vehicle and must not exceed maximum allowed Length Parameter given within Parade Entry Category.
· Sizing Parameters listed are the MAXIMUM allotted per entry type. Participant MUST enter ACTUAL length – do not just enter the max length allowed, this could affect your Application Acceptance.
· Entry Size is REQUIRED for Staging Purposes, this is the amount of space entry uses when at a standstill, prior to getting into formation for parade procession.
