You asked… and we’re doing it again! After the Passport to Ocean Ave Block Party was such a huge hit (and since we keep getting asked “When’s the next one?”), We’re bringing the magic back — with a spooky, coastal twist. The Sharktober Bingo Challenge is happening Sunday, October 19th from 3–8 PM, and we want YOU to join us!
It’s part street party, part scavenger hunt, and all coastal Halloween vibes. Guests will pick up a Sharktober Passport, stroll Ocean Ave collecting stamps from each participating business and vendor booth, and turn in their completed passport for a chance to win fintastic prizes. Since we all loved the street energy last time, we’re inviting vendors to set up tents again! Whether you’re a local artisan, foodie, or boutique, it’s your chance to join the fun and soak up the foot traffic.
The twist this time is our Mini Shark Hunt! Each participating shop wiill hide a silly little shark (think: Finn Diesel, Jawsica, Bruce the Great White). When guests find it, they get bonus entries in the prize drawing — a great way to keep people exploring your shop or booth instead of breezing by.
Why join? 🦈 Guaranteed foot traffic — the bingo card gets them to every stop.
📸 Social media buzz — we’ll promote it with #SharktoberLantana. 🎯 Easy ways to participate include: handing out candy, placing a shark somewhere in your booth, or stamping bingo cards. Moderate participation involves decorating for the theme, offering a “Sharktober Special."
How it works: Guests will grab a bingo card at Sunny + Salty Swimwear (or any participating brick and mortar shop), then visit each business or booth to get a shark stamp, hunt for mini sharks for bonus entries, and turn in full passports for the prize drawing.
Prizes: We’ll build one Mega Beach Basket filled with goodies from all participating businesses + a few runner-up baskets — so everyone gets some spotlight. *Please be prepared to donate something to the prize baskets that add value, and help promote your biz.
You will need your own 10x10 tent with weights. You will also need lights for when it begins to get dark. The event is a hard stop at 8 PM. Vendors should not break down early, as it will confuse other vendors and visitors.
📅 Date: Sunday, October 19th | 🕒 Time: 3–8 PM | 📍 Location: Ocean Ave, Lantana | 📩 RSVP: Reply to this email or text me so we can lock in your spot and start promoting.
Let’s make Sharktober another one for the books! 🦈💛
