Call for Artists – Red Gala 2025
Theme: Every Ribbon Has a Name
Event Date: Saturday, December 6, 2025
Location: Capitol Park Museum – Baton Rouge, LA

Baton Rouge Pride invites 3–4 talented artists to be part of the art experience at the 3rd Annual World AIDS Day Red Gala. This is not your average art show—think live painting, interactive installations, performance art, or creative expressions that capture the spirit of our theme, Every Ribbon Has a Name.

We are seeking pieces and performances that:

• Reflect the theme’s meaning—honoring lives impacted by HIV/AIDS, celebrating progress, and remembering the names and stories behind the red ribbon.
• Engage guests during the event—live creation, collaborative audience elements, or immersive displays.
• Bring bold, creative, and thought-provoking energy to the Red Gala’s elegant, high-fashion atmosphere.

Details & Expectations:

• Artists will have a designated space during the event for their work or performance.
• Preference will be given to live or interactive art pieces.
• Set-up and breakdown times will be coordinated in advance.
• Selected artists will receive event access and be featured in the program and promotions.

1. Voluntary Participation: By agreeing to participate in the World AIDS Day RED Gala, the artist acknowledges that participation is entirely voluntary. No financial compensation, fee, or reimbursement will be provided for services rendered, travel, accommodations, or other expenses.

2. Participation Details: The artist agrees to participate on the date(s) and time(s) designated by the event organizers. The duration, setlist, and specific details of participation will be coordinated with the gala management team.

3. Rights & Media: The artist grants the organizers the right to photograph, record, and use images, audio, and video of their participation for promotional, educational, or fundraising purposes related to the World AIDS Day RED Gala, without additional compensation.

4. Liability: The artist agrees that the organizers are not responsible for any injury, loss, or damage incurred before, during, or after participation. The artist is responsible for their own equipment, instruments, and personal property.

5. Cancellation & Substitutions: If the artist is unable to participate, they must notify the organizers as soon as possible and are responsible for arranging a suitable replacement. The organizers reserve the right to make adjustments to the schedule as needed.

6. Acknowledgment: The artist acknowledges that participation supports the mission of Baton Rouge Pride and its efforts in HIV/AIDS awareness, education, and community outreach.

7. Agreement: By confirming participation, the artist agrees to the above terms and conditions.
