Artist Application

We are inviting applications working across all forms of media who identify as black or brown, or mixed race to take part in our upcoming art exhibition. This is an opportunity to showcase your work alongside live performances, installations, and other creative expressions in a vibrant, community-centered event. We welcome artists of all experience levels whose work reflects originality, depth, and a strong creative voice.

This is an electronic agreement and by selecting the booths, you are validating and approving this agreement electronically. Categories: Artists may apply in 1 category.

Categories include:

Jewelry, Clay Fiber: Wearable Art Handmade clothing, Glass, Metal: Sculptural or decorative work made from metal.

Mixed Media: Work which combines materials from two or more mediums in one piece. Natural Materials: This includes basket weaving, works made from materials found in nature. 

Photography: Only artist’s original source material is acceptable.

Printmaking: Only hand-pulled original prints are allowed. Prints must be in limited editions, signed, and numbered.

Sculpture: Three-dimensional work using additive or subtractive processes in a single medium.

Two-Dimensional: Drawing, painting, and digital works. Reproduction prints are not allowed. Wood: Original works

**Artist Application Terms and Conditions**

By submitting an application, artists agree to the following terms and conditions:

1. Eligibility: Applicants must identify as Black or mixed-race and work in any artistic medium, including but not limited to visual art, performance, music, digital media, and installation.

2. Original Work: All submitted work must be original and created by the applicant. Collaborative works are accepted but must be clearly credited.

3. Selection Process: Submission does not guarantee selection. All applications will be reviewed by the event curators, and selected artists will be contacted directly.

4. Exhibition Rights:  By participating, artists grant permission for images and videos of their work to be used in promotional materials related to the event, including social media, press, and documentation.

5. Installation and Setup: Selected artists are responsible for the transportation, setup, and removal of their work unless otherwise agreed upon with the organizers.

6. Damage and Liability: While care will be taken to protect all artwork, the organizers are not liable for any damage, loss, or theft that may occur during the event.

7. Code of Conduct: All artists are expected to conduct themselves professionally and respectfully towards fellow participants, staff, and attendees.

8. Withdrawal: If an artist needs to withdraw after being selected, they must notify the organizers as soon as possible.
