The Downtown BBQ Showdown is being held on Friday, April 17 and and Saturday, April 18th, 2025. We would love for you to join us for this KCBS Downtown BBQ Showdown Cookoff event!  By completing this application electronically you are agreeing to and accepting the rules and regulations set forth by the City of Lake City Downtown BBQ Showdown.  There are no refunds once you submit your application. Mark your calendar and plan to join us for this fun event!

The City of Lake City Downtown BBQ Showdown Barbecue Cookoff reserves the right to reject any application. If your application is not accepted, your money will be refunded. Any photos taken of your booth onsite become the property of the City of Lake City Downtown BBQ Showdown and may be used for promotional purposes.
 
You will set up in the Wilson Park area around the sidewalk. Your tent will be on the grass. NO TRAILERS for this event. Please bring sand bags or weights as this is a windy area. Nothing can be put in the ground because of electrical wires and pipes. I will send out a map of your location the week of the event and a map showing where vendor parking is located. When entering to unload please come in on NE Leon Street,  Turn right on NE Hernando Street, then left onto Northwest Franklin for drop off/unload. Unload from Franklin street. Then proceed to your parking area by going staright on Franklin to the vendor lot on the left.  This is a two day event and request that you be there for both days. On Friday, April 17 the event starts at 12:00pm and ends at 10:00pm. You may  stay open until 10:00pm or if you choose to leave earlier please do not leave earlier than 7:00pm. Please be set up Friday and your vehicle  out of the drop off area by 11:00pm. On Saturday the event starts at 10:00am and the awards ceremony will be at 5:00 and tear down will be after the closing of the award ceremony (Aprox 5:30).We will have security on the grounds through the night if you would like to cover and leave your things. We are not responsible for any items so please don't leave valuables unattended. Please note there will be smoke from the cookers don't bring anything that will get ruined by the smoke. All vendors are required to stay in your space. No walking around distributing literature or selling product. No graphic or sensitive materials are allowed. There are no refunds if you are unable to participate. Make sure you are committed before signing up. 
 
In consideration of participating in such activity, the participant does hereby release and forever discharge the City of Lake City, its officers, staff, jointly and severally, from any and all actions, causes of injury, which hereafter may be sustained by participants, merchants, vendors, spectators, or others in consequence of participating in the City of Lake City Downtown BBQ Showdown Barbecue Competition event. This release extends and applies to, and also covers and includes, all unknown, unforeseen, unanticipated, and unsuspected injuries, damages, loss and liability, and the consequences thereof, as well as those not disclosed and known to exist. The provisions or any state, federal, local, or territorial law or stature providing in substance that releases shall not extend to claims, demands, injuries, or damages which are unknown or unsuspected to exist at the time, to the person executing such leases, are hereby expressly waived. I hereby agree on behalf of my heirs, executor, administrators, and assigns to indemnify the City of Lake City KCBS Downtown BBQ Showdown Barbecue Competition Event/ City of Lake City, jointly and severally, and hold harmless from and against any and all actions, claims, demands, and liabilities, loss, damages, and expense of whatever kind or nature, including attorney fees, which may at any time be incurred by reason of my participation in the City of Lake City KCBS Downtown BBQ Showdown Barbecue Competition Event. It is further agreed and understood that said allowance of my participation in the City of Lake City KCBS Downtown BBQ Showdown Barbecue Competition event is not to be construed as an admission of any liability and acceptance of assumption of responsibility by the City of Lake City/ City of Lake City KCBS Downtown BBQ Showdown Barbecue Competition Event, its officers and members, jointly and severally, for all damages and expenses for which the City of Lake City KCBS Downtown BBQ Showdown Barbecue Competition event, its officers and staff, jointly and severally, become liable as a result of any alleged act of the festival participant. Signature below indicates that the vendor has carefully read and understands all of the above requirements to participate as a vendor in the City of Lake City KCBS Downtown BBQ Showdown Barbecue Competition event.
