Speaker/Workshop Facilitator

The Florida Pioneer Festival is seeking dynamic speakers and workshop facilitators for our 2025 event, taking place November 7–8 at Pioneer Park in Zolfo Springs, FL. This two-day celebration of homesteading, regenerative agriculture, and self-sufficient living attracts a diverse crowd of beginners, seasoned farmers, and curious families alike. We’re looking for engaging and enthusiastic individuals to lead presentations, panels, and hands-on demos in topics like food preservation, animal husbandry, permaculture, off-grid living, herbal medicine, sustainable gardening, and traditional skills. The festival features a lively mercantile market, heritage demonstrations, family activities, live music, and keynote speakers — creating an inspiring environment to connect, educate, and empower the next generation of land stewards. Terms and Conditions**

By submitting an application to be a speaker or workshop facilitator at the Florida Pioneer Festival, you (“Applicant”) agree to the following terms and conditions:

• All applicants must be at least 18 years of age.

• Submission of an application does not guarantee acceptance.

• Speakers and facilitators will be selected based on relevance to festival themes (homesteading, regenerative farming, self-sufficiency, etc.), experience, presentation quality, and availability.

• The Florida Pioneer Festival reserves the right to accept or decline applications at its sole discretion.

• Accepted participants must present on the agreed topic at the scheduled time and location.

• Presentations must be educational, family-friendly, and free from offensive, discriminatory, or political content unrelated to event themes.

• Sales pitches are not permitted during presentations unless approved in writing beforehand (e.g., book signings, product demos).

• Compensation (if any) will be outlined in a separate Speaker Agreement.

• Unless otherwise agreed in writing, the festival is not responsible for covering travel, lodging, or other expenses.

• Speakers may receive free event admission and designated vendor space (if applicable).

• All participants must comply with local, state, and federal laws, including those of the State of Florida and Hardee County.

• The Applicant agrees to maintain a professional, respectful demeanor toward all attendees, vendors, staff, and volunteers.

• Any misconduct may result in removal from the festival and forfeiture of compensation.

• The Applicant agrees to indemnify and hold harmless the Florida Pioneer Festival, its organizers, Pioneer Park, and associated entities from any and all claims, damages, or liabilities arising from the Applicant’s actions, equipment, or materials during the event.

• The festival is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged personal property.

• By participating, the Applicant grants permission for the festival to photograph, film, or record their presentation and likeness for promotional, archival, and educational use without further compensation.

• The Applicant must notify the festival of cancellation in writing at least 30 days prior to the event.

• The festival reserves the right to modify or cancel speaker slots due to scheduling needs or unforeseen circumstances (weather, emergency, etc.) without liability.

• By submitting an application, the Applicant acknowledges they have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms and Conditions.
