Re: 64th Scottish Gathering and Highland Games – November 7th, 8th & 9th, 2025

You are hereby invited to reserve space for your Clan or Society at the 64th Salado Scottish Gathering and Highland Games, sponsored by and the primary fundraiser of Salado Museum & College Park (SMCP). You are also welcome to join us for the first official event of the weekend, the Calling of the Clans, Friday evening at 6:00 which forms up behind the Museum.
- Please make reservations for Clan tent space with the Museum as soon as possible. The fee is $25.00 for each 12x12 space. Deadline to register: October 10. No refunds after this date. No exceptions.
- Please remember this fee does not include admission to the grounds or any of the other
activities. Convenors may purchase weekend passes at $5.00 each for a maximum of four (4) per tent space. The Convenor pass is for admission to the grounds all day Saturday and Sunday. All ticket reservations and tent spaces must be made through the Museum Office (254) 947-5232. Our long-standing policy requires that tents can be used for hospitality, education, enrollment and recruitment only. NO SALES.
- No tent location will be finalized until fee is paid. All spaces will be designated by SMCP Representative. All tent support wires and stakes must be contained in the rented space. Additional spaces may be obtained if you wish to have more area for your booth. By submitting this application,
you agree to release SMCP and its trustees and members from any and all/ liability arising from any loss or injury to Clan Representative or property on the above dates and waives any claim arising there from.
- On arrival in Salado on Friday, you or your representative must check in at the Museum
for space assignment and directons to the site. Set up time for Clan tents is Friday, November 7th from 8am to 5pm. Clan tent breakdown and removal will be Sunday after the 3pm Closing Ceremony.
Clan/Society Representative Responsibilities
- All Clan Society representatives must check in upon arrival at the Museum Office to purchase tickets and receive instructions before proceeding to the Gathering Site. Set up is Friday, November 7th during the hours of 8 am to 5 pm. Vehicles will not be allowed to enter the Gathering site after this designated time.
- SMCP will determine the location of each Clan tent. On arrival you or your representative must check in with a SMCP representative for site assignment. It is your responsibility to set up within the boundaries of that site. You will be asked to move if you are in the wrong site or if you "spill over" the boundaries of the site. The Museum office will direct you to the Grounds Chairman.
- Your tent must be contained in the rented space (12x12) including tent supports, wires and
stakes, etc. You are responsible for your own tents, tables, chairs, and any other equipment. There is no electricity provided. Please do not cause any loud distractions. Loud noise, i.e., music recordings, barker announcements that interfere with the judging and contestants is not permissible. Children and adults accompanying you must comply with these noise limitations. There will be no unattached children as it may prove to be dangerous.
- Please do not litter. Any trash you have is your responsibility to clean up before you leave! Trash cans and a dumpster will be provided on the grounds.
- No vehicle parking will be allowed at or near your tent.
- At check-out. Do not move your vehicle to the parking lot until you are ready to load. We will have volunteers to assist with loading if needed.
