Thank you for your interest in performing at our Season 4 opening for Poets Meet Musicians!

This year we have partnered with The Betterman Distilling Co. in Patchogue to bring you a new and better experience of one of our favorite programs.

Please complete the following form to be considered for a featured artist slot for our new season of Poets Meet Musicians.

PLEASE READ CAREFULLY: By submitting this form, you confirm that you are available to perform on May 16th if selected. If you are chosen and later cancel, your future applications for this event will not be considered.

LOCATION: The Betterman Distilling Company (161 River Avenue, Patchogue NY)

EVENT DATE: Friday May 16th, 2025

EVENT TIME: 7PM - 10PM (Doors Open at 6:30PM)

Performers are required to arrive at the venue 30 minutes prior to the beginning of the event. 

APPLICATION DEADLINE: Friday May 9th, 2025 11:59 PM E.T.

We want to emphasize that our event operates on a foundation of inclusivity and support for local talent.

As such, we want to make it clear that we do not charge any submission fees for artists to participate in our event if selected.

Event Aspects:

• Performance Slot: Dedicated time to showcase 3 songs or 3 poems.
• Original Work: Always encouraged.
• Stage: Front-facing.
• PA System: Access to an in-house PA system.
• Promotion: Personalized flyers will be provided to performers for event promotion.
• Post-Event: Professional photos will be shared with performers post-event.

EXPANDING OUR EVENT EXPERIENCE; As we strive to elevate our event and explore innovative ways to champion artistry in our communities, we are thrilled to introduce an exciting enhancement for our featured performers. Beginning with our upcoming event, featured performers will now receive a professionally produced highlight video.

Post-Event Highlight Video Details:

• The highlight video will be recorded within one of our esteemed partnering studio spaces.
• Our in-house media team will expertly craft and produce these showcase videos.
• Videos will be shared through our Colored Colors Instagram page

IF THE FOLLOWING MATERIALS ARE NOT UPLOADED THE APPLICATION WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED

• Website, Link, or Profile showcasing your work
• Upload a minimum of 2 high-res photos for the creation of your personalized flyer

IMPORTANT UPDATE: CHANGES TO SUBMISSION ELIGIBILITY

We want to inform you of an important update regarding submission eligibility for our upcoming event. Due to consistent challenges arising from last-minute cancellations with performers residing outside of New York State, we have made the decision to prioritize applications for individuals residing within NYS. This decision is part of our proactive efforts to enhance the overall experience for our attendees by minimizing scheduling conflicts and ensuring a reliable and consistent event. Out-of-state applications will be considered, but there is no guarantee. The success of this event relies on the full cooperation of the artists involved. By participating, you contribute not only to the promotion of artistry but also to putting money in the pockets of fellow artists. We appreciate your dedication to making this event a memorable and prosperous experience for all. We look forward to showcasing your talent at "Poets Meets Musicians"!"

IMPORTANT SUBMISSION GUIDELINES: PLEASE READ CAREFULLY As we strive to ensure the success and fairness of our event, we kindly request your attention to the following guidelines: 

Commitment to Attend:

• Only submit your work if you are genuinely available to perform on the specified date: May 16th, 2025 from 7:00 - 10:00PM
• Short notice cancellations without specific reasons will be considered as breach of contract and future applications will no longer be considered. 

Cancellation Policy:

• If, for any reason, you are unable to attend, please refrain from submitting or provide ample notice with specific reasons for consideration.
• Future submissions may be automatically rejected for those who provide short notice cancellations without valid reasons.

Submission Approval:
