Seed Theatre is thrilled to announce our 9th rendition of The Odd Market -- Odd Market: May Mayhem! This is a vibrant celebration of all things unconventional and extraordinary. Boasting over 100 vendors and local artists, join 5,000+ visitors for a fantastic festival centering the oddest art and strangest oddities that the south has to offer! Join us on May 3, 2025, at Stove Works in Chattanooga for a day filled with unique vendors, captivating performances, and a community that embraces the delightfully peculiar. Event Details: Date: May 3, 2025 Time: 12:00 PM – 7:00 PM Location: Stove Works, 1250 E 13th St, Chattanooga, TN What to Expect: Eclectic Vendors: Explore a curated selection of artisans offering handmade crafts, oddities, baked goods, and more. This isn’t just about oddities and local shops—Odd Market is a proud LGBTQ+ safe space, welcoming everyone to celebrate diversity and creativity. Live Entertainment: Hosted by Punk & Drag out of Knoxville, TN, featuring multiple punk bands and drag artists (TBA). Enjoy performances throughout the day, showcasing dynamic talent and adding to the market's vibrant atmosphere. The Odd Market, hosted by The Seed Theatre, is a recurring marketplace event in Chattanooga that brings together vendors offering an eclectic mix of handmade goods, crafts, oddities, and baked treats. Each market has a unique theme, aiming to celebrate everything unusual, spooky, and distinctive. Recent iterations, such as the "Spring Awakening" and "Witch, Please!" editions, showcase vendors from various cities across the Southeast, creating a diverse and inclusive atmosphere. Visitors can find distinctive creations while enjoying entertainment like drag shows, musical performances, and interactive games for families. These events contribute to The Seed Theatre's mission to offer a supportive, safe space where people can express themselves through art, creating a vibrant community for all​

Terms & Conditions

By participating in Odd Market, vendors agree to uphold the following Terms and Conditions. These guidelines ensure a safe, inclusive, and affirming environment for all participants, with a particular focus on creating a space that supports LGBTQ+ and transgender individuals. Failure to comply with these terms may result in removal from the event without refund.

 
1. LGBTQ+ Affirming Practices

Vendors must demonstrate respect for all individuals, regardless of sexual orientation, gender identity, or gender expression. Any language, behavior, or materials deemed discriminatory, harassing, or offensive will not be tolerated.


2. Transgender Safety and Affirmation

Vendors must provide a welcoming environment for transgender and nonbinary individuals. This includes respecting preferred names, pronouns, and identities. Transphobic comments, actions, or materials are strictly prohibited.


3. Inclusive Marketing and Products

Products, services, or marketing materials should not perpetuate stereotypes or promote hate speech against LGBTQ+ or transgender communities. (your product does not have to be specifically LGBTQ centric, just not anti) 


4. Complaint Resolution

If an attendee or participant reports behavior or materials violating these terms, event organizers will review the matter promptly. Vendors found in violation may be asked to leave the event immediately without reimbursement of fees.


5. Commitment to Inclusivity

Vendors agree to align with the event's mission of fostering an inclusive and supportive space for LGBTQ+ individuals and their allies.


6. Acknowledgment of Terms

By submitting an application or registering for the event, vendors acknowledge that they have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms and Conditions.

10x10 PRIME A+ LOCATION BOOTH SOLD OUT Non-refundable Single booth space is 10 feet wide and 10 feet deep. Spaces are all outdoor and placed on 14th street. Prime locations are the first few spots through the gate. These locations are shopped first, they are most accessible, and are most visible from Holtzclaw (very busy road). Only one side will be guaranteed open to visitors, it is possible to have vendor neighbors on other sides. Please plan accordingly. IF ELECTRICITY IS REQUIRED PLEASE PLAN TO HAVE A GENERATOR

10x10 Booth $100.00 Non-refundable Single booth space is 10 feet wide and 10 feet deep. Spaces are all outdoor and mostly in firm grass. Only one side will be guaranteed open to visitors, it is possible to have vendor neighbors on 3 other sides. Please plan accordingly.
10x20 Booth $200.00 Non-refundable Single booth space is 20 feet wide and 10 feet deep. Spaces are all outdoor and mostly in firm grass. Only one side will be guaranteed open to visitors (20 feet), it is possible to have vendor neighbors on 3 other sides. Please plan accordingly.
6 foot Artist Table Space SOLD OUT Non-refundable This is a 6 foot space for ONE table (ONLY). There is no additional room for extended setups or displays. All product and display must fit on a 6 foot table. The table is not provided. Space is on the sidewalk, no coverage. Umbrellas and tents allowed, but your setup must remain only on the 6ft table.
Electrical Access $50.00 Non-refundable Access to electricity will be provided to a limited number of booths ONLY. Vendors are responsible for bringing 50+ ft extension cord to connect to electricity.
