ABOUT The Marietta/Cobb Museum of Art is proud to present Chalktoberfest, a combination of a chalk art festival that is free to the public and Marietta’s premier craft beer festival. In 2018 the festival had over 100,000 visitors over the weekend. DATES/TIMES Saturday, October 12th from 10:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Sunday, October 13th from 11:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. LOCATION Chalktoberfest will be located on the historic Marietta Square surrounding Glover Park and will continue down toward the Marietta/Cobb Museum of Art building - most streets around the Marietta Square will be closed for the duration. Marietta Square is 15 miles northwest of Atlanta, just of the I-75, Exit 265. BENEFIT The MCMA Chalktoberfest benefits the Marietta/Cobb Museum of Art. Enjoy your afternoon watching professional Chalk Artists chalk the streets, sampling craft beers, live music from local artists, and eating great food at the beautiful downtown square of Marietta. A great day out for all the family, the Chalk Festival is free to attend. ACCEPTED FOOD TRUCKS Licensed Food Trucks only – total of 12 spaces available. All food truck applicants must be in compliance with the Health Department and send us a copy of their permit. The Cobb County Health Department will be inspecting all food trucks the first morning of the event. Once accepted, the Cobb Public Health Department link will be sent to you for details. FEES The 2019 Food Truck price is $800. FOOD TRUCK SPACE One food truck space will be blocked off for your businesses on Atlanta Street between Roswell Street and Alexander Street on the block with Johnnie MacCracken’s Pub. A second food truck area will be on Powder Springs Street between West Park Square and Anderson Street on the block with the Marietta Wine Market and Marietta Pizza. Electrical power is available in predetermined areas provided by the Chalktoberfest event. Food trucks are given assigned spaces - it will be first come, first serve on the day of the event. ICE Ice can be provided via an independent contractor, for a fee. Once accepted, you will be provided with the ice company's information in order to make your arrangements during the event. PARKING Parking will be available in the City of Marietta parking deck located one block off the Marietta Square. No cars will be permitted in the Festival area with the exception of set-up and tear down times. SECURITY Security will be provided by MCMA and the City of Marietta throughout the event and after hours. However, please be aware that MCMA Chalktoberfest 2019, the City of Marietta, the Marietta/Cobb Museum of Art and its staff are not to be held liable for any lost, stolen or damaged items. Additionally, we recommend that you do not leave your items overnight if they are small and easy to steal. TAXES Each vendor is solely responsible for collecting, reporting and submitting sales tax payment to the Georgia Department of Revenue, Sales and Use Tax Division. Cobb County tax is 6%.
