AOEU Palette Perspectives Juried Student Exhibition

*PLEASE READ THROUGH FULLY*

Eligibility: Open to all AOEU students and alumni.

Deadline: All entries must be received by January 5th. Late submissions will not be considered.

Submission Requirements:

• Maximum 1 piece per student 
• Submission must be an original work created as part of an AOEU studio art course in 2024.
• Please include the artist's statement in the description box

Image submission requirements:

• File names should be in the following format (LastName-FirstName-ArtworkTitle)
  • Example: (Picasso-Pablo-WomanWithFlower.jpg)
• Photograph artwork on a clean backdrop, away from clutter, in good natural light
• Image files must be of high quality, in sharp focus, and a true representation of the original art
• Please include image files only, process boards will not be accepted
• Images of 2D art should include only the artwork, no frame
• Crop the photos to include only the artwork
• Be sure your images are right-side-up

Acceptable upload-ready file formats:

File Type: JPG

File Dimensions: 1,200 pixels or greater on the longest side.

File Size: No larger than 10 MB.Color Profile: sRGB 

Jury process

Selection Round: Our panel of judges will review all submissions and select the artworks to be featured in the show.

 Awards Round: Selected artworks will be eligible for the following awards:

• Best of Show: The top honor, recognizing the most outstanding piece in the exhibition.
• Best of Category: Awards for exceptional work in each category.

The entry form must be filled out in its entirety.

Note that The Art of Education University doesn't promise that every submission will be accepted into the Palette Perspective's Art Show. Instead, only artists selected by the AOEU jury will be eligible for show entry.

In the event there are joint winners during the awards round the prizes will be split evenly among winners. Similarly, if a studio course does not receive enough entries to be judged fairly within that category alone, it will be considered alongside other categories with sufficient entries.  

Artists who have been selected for entry into Palette Perspectives will be notified of their selection in February of 2025. By submitting your artwork you agree to allow the Art of Education University to use your images both online for the duration of the 2025 Palette Perspectives Art Show as well as for marketing and promotional purposes.
