Welcome to the Dallas Downtown Association Scarecrow Contest! Registration is free. No discount code needed.

Note: The map of booth (hay bale) locations will appear (click see full map) but you will not be able to choose until after you register.

After registering, you will receive an approval email asking you to choose your location.

Note: you are not required to upload your logo but if you do, it may be used in advertising.

 

Dallas Downtown Association invites you to our annual free scarecrow competition. Businesses in downtown have first choice at having the spot in front of their business. But there are plenty of spots for everyone interested! Contest Rules

• Scarecrows can be made of any materials you choose, but will be exposed to the elements (rain, wind, etc). 
• Displays cannot damage the pole, sidewalk, or surrounding space in any way.
• Scarecrows may not include adult, political, violent, socially insensitive, or excessively gory themes. Any display the Committee finds to be inappropriate must be fittingly altered or taken down immediately.
• The DDA Promotions Committee will make be the final decision-maker in any questions regarding the rules of this contest.
• Each display can extend out five feet on either side of the pole parallel to the curb, and up to three feet out from the pole on the sidewalk. Displays must not block good passage of pedestrian traffic.

Disclosure: Participants of the contest are solely responsible for setting up, removal of display, and any items to complete their display. The Dallas Downtown Association is not responsible for loss or damage of any displays. Entry in the Dallas Downtown Association Scarecrow Contest constitutes an agreement with the terms specified above.
