About the application

WINTERFEST GIFT MARKET 

On Saturday, December 14, Virginia Ave & Lanier Blvd will be closed to create the Winterfest Gift Market from 11:00 am to 5:00 pm -- a holiday gift fair including festive decor, music and drinks. It is free for the public to attend the market. There will also be a Tour of Lights, 2-mile Jingle Jog, Holiday Parade, and Kids Corner to complete the weekend. 

 

APPLICATION INFORMATION If your child is interested in becoming a Winterfest Young Entrepreneur, please complete this form along with a $25 application fee. This fee is non-refundable. If approved, there are no additional fees to have a booth at the event. 

 

TIMELINE

  • Oct 20: Applications due by midnight 
  • Nov 1: Acceptance notifications
  BOOTH INFORMATION This year, we are offering 3 Young Entrepreneur time slots. Parental supervision is required for all shifts, so take this into consideration when selecting an option. Please indicate your preference in the application and we will do our best to accommodate.  
  • Morning - 11 am to 1 pm
  • Afternoon - 2 to 4 pm
  • Full festival - 11 am to 4 pm
    • Note: these space are limited and priority will be given to Young Entrepreneurs with previous festival experience who have been working to grow their business throughout the year, including a social media presence. 
    • If it is determined that the booth is largely managed by the parents with some assistance from the children, we will require that you apply as a standard market vendor going forward. These booths are reserved for our Young Entrepreneurs as a way to help them grow and build their business skills so we appreciate you adhering to these guidelines. 

 

BOOTH DETAILS 

  • We will provide:
    • Morning and afternoon shifts - a white tent and 6ft table with linen 
    • Full day shift - a white tent ONLY; please bring all other items necessary for your booth. 
Booth location, time slot, and logistics will be provided prior to December 14. Please be prepared to bring your products, a payment option, and change if accepting cash. You are also welcome to bring chairs, additional tables, decor, etc - as needed.    We look forward to reviewing your application. Please reach out if you have any questions! 

About the event

Virginia Highland Winterfest is a 2-day festival that kicks off with a Tour of Lights Block Party on Friday, December 13, featuring vibrant lights and decorations, festive beverages, and live music. On Saturday, December 14, the festivities continue with a 2-mile Jingle Jog, followed by a lively Holiday Parade. The day will rev up with one of the biggest in-town holiday gift markets, with live music and a Kids Corner to pair.
