About the application

PLUG IN & PLAY/PERFORM on the Third Annual Charlotte Chalk Art Festival (CCAF2024) stage located on the NoDa Brewing Company North End lawn on October 19th or October 20th. Our stage management team will provide all sound equipment, some amps, some cables, 4-6 mics, with space on the mixer for more, assistance on and off the stage, and appropriate guidance. They are prepared to provide some additional musical instruments like an electric drum set, a cajon for percussion, bass, acousitc, or electric guitar with a small Marshall amp, plus a few other things if needed. This way you don"t have to worry about bringing all of your own equipment allowing us to change sets quickly.

We"re looking for Charlotte-area performers, who aren"t always given an opportunity to perform in larger settings, to take the stage for a 30 minute or a 45 minute set during the Charlotte Chalk Art Festival. NOTE: A DJ will spin for 1 hour, see details below. We aren"t a large budget festival yet, so if you"re asking for $1K+, we thank you for considering us and we hope to have you join us when we have a bigger budget.

We are open to all types of performances with a family-friendly vibe in mind. Please be mindful of lyrics.

CCAF will take place at NoDa Brewing Company North End, 150 W 23rd Street, Charlotte, NC 28206, from 12pm to 5pm each day. CCAF is produced by Creative Canvas Productions, LLC, & sponsored by NoDa Brewing Company, Eventful Expressions, NPC, and Jerry"s Artarama Charlotte.

About the event

The Charlotte Chalk Art Festival (CCAF2024), a FREE, family-friendly two-day festival, will be held at NoDa Brewing Company North End, 150 W 32nd St, Charlotte, NC 28206 on October 19th and 20th from 12pm to 5pm each day. CCAF features a street chalk art competition for ages 12-17 and 18+. Festival goers will watch and cheer on the competitors and the artists creating the street chalk art gallery while enjoying various art-focused activities, music, and performance offerings, patronizing our curated arts, crafts, retail, food, and beverage vendors.

The Charlotte Chalk Art Festival committee reserves the right to deny any application for any reason.

If accepted, you will be REQUIRED to sign a Performance Liability Form.

CCAF is a two-day RAIN OR SHINE EVENT EXCEPT FOR SEVERE WEATHER.

CCAF committee reserves the right to CLOSE the festival on either day due to extreme weather or public safety concerns, without refund to vendor or payment to performers. We reserve the right to POSTPONE the festival prior to October 19th should there be an in advance warning of extreme weather, without refund or payment as appropriate. Should there be a POSTPONEMENT, the festival will be moved to a TBD date and all approved performers will retain their performance slot if they are available or will be replaced with another performer as needed.

Please upload a minimum of two (2) and a maximum of three (3) .jpg or .png (preferred) files, one should be your solo performer head shot or your band's promo photo and one to two should be of you performing. Photos should be no smaller than 500x500 (does not have to be exact squares) showcasing you or your band. NOTE: Photos may remain on this site for all to see before, during, and after the festival. Provide the best quality and highest resolution images suited to our family-friendly audience.
