About the application

WHAT: Local Artists are invited to submit original artwork for exhibition and sale at FusionFest 2024, created in the past 3 years and not exhibited before in FusionFest. THEME: "Freedom". There are three types of Freedom: Freedom from,  Freedom to and Freedom to be. Visually expressed your most valued Freedom.*No nude, political, violent or racial discrimination subjects will be allowed. DIMENSIONS: Min:11"x14". Max: 30" high x 36" wide. Artwork must have finished gallery edge or framed, and wired ready for hanging.Sculptures, Max. 3 feet high. This is a call for artists to express the uniqueness of their heritages. What are the celebrations, colors and textures of your heritage and cultural background. Artists are encouraged to submit up to 3 of their artworks and the most aligned to the theme will be selected for the FusionFest Annual Exhibition. Judges will score on a) skill, b) creativity and c) theme. *Artwork that do not follow the requirements will not be selected.
  • All artwork submitted and accepted must be for sale. All sales subject to 40% commission to FusionFest, 60% to the Artist.
 PRIZES:Grand Prize: $1,0002nd Place: $2003rd Place: $150Audience Choice Award: $150 SELECTED ARTISTS WILL RECEIVE:- Display space to hang selected artwork(s) for sale.- Promotion on Social Media and E-Newsletters. Possibility to display additional work in other local venue during the time of the festival. WHERE & WHEN: At FusionFest – 400 S Orange Avenue, Orlando Florida 32801Saturday, Nov. 30 from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.Sunday, Dec. 1 from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. IMPORTANT DATES:Oct. 5: Application DeadlineOct. 21: Acceptance NotificationNov. 29: Drop-Off Artwork (We will confirm location & time of artwork selected)Nov. 29: InstallationDec. 1: De-Installation following the 5 p.m. awards show.

7th Annual Multicultural Festival - A free, two-day, festival that draws thousands of people from more than 110 different cultures to experience music, dance, food, visual arts, spoken word, games and interactive activities in Downtown Orlando.

By submitting this application, I agree that FusionFest can use the information I submit, including images, on the website, promotions for the festival and related events, including FusionFest Visual Arts Updates, with no monetary compensation.I understand that this is an Intent to Participate, and that I will be contacted if selected for the next phase.  LIABILILTY AND PHOTO RELEASEI (or my child/ren) am voluntarily participating in this program, class or event written above. In return for the opportunity to participate, I voluntarily for myself (or my child/ren) waive, release, indemnify and hold harmless Orange County and FusionFest, Inc. and their officers and employees from any liabilities, claims, damages, injuries, losses, and expenses including reasonable attorney’s fees and costs whatsoever, including those for personal injury, death or property damage, which may arise from or in connection with participation in this program, class or event.If this registration is for one of my minor child/ren, I hereby consent to emergency treatment and transportation of my minor child for any condition which may arise during, from, or in connection with participation in this program, class or event and I shall be responsible for the payment of all costs associated with such emergency treatment or transportation.Further, I hereby give permission to Orange County and FusionFest, Inc. to use any photographs taken by the County or FusionFest, Inc., its officers, employees, or agents, of either me or my child/ren during participation in this program, class or event. I agree such photographs shall be the property of Orange County or FusionFest, Inc. and I am not entitled to compensation of any kind for the use of such photographs.I agree to abide by all County, State and federal ordinances, rules and regulations, and understand that Orange County and FusionFest, Inc. have the right to change fees and requirements when necessary. This release shall remain in effect until canceled in writing. Notice to the minor child’s natural guardian: Read this form completely and carefully.You are agreeing that, even if Orange County or FusionFest, Inc. uses reasonable care in providing this activity, there is a chance your child may be seriously injured or killed by participating in this activity because there are certain dangers inherent in the activity which cannot be avoided or eliminated.By signing this form you are giving up your child’s right and your right to recover from Orange County or FusionFest, Inc. in a lawsuit for any personal injury, including death, to your child or any property damage that results from the risks that are a natural part of the activity.You have the right to refuse to sign this form, and Orange County or FusionFest, Inc. has the right to refuse to let your child participate if you do not sign this form.
