We are proud to announce the call for entry for our GodArts Week 2024. This call is open-themed and submissions from artists of all levels internationally are welcomed.
Calendar of Events
- Tues. Oct 03, 2024 - Deadline for entry (11:59 p.m. Easter Time Zone)
- October 4 - 6 , 2024 - Notification Date, emails sent to entrants
- Dec 07, 2024 - Opening reception / Performance Date
Eligibility: Local and International dancers and Choreographers are invited to apply.
- Dancers / Choreographers in support of GodArts’ mission to spread the gospel through the arts.
- Submission is open to all genres but must be family-friendly.
Submission Guidelines: All types of dance forms are accepted
- Multiple entries are accepted.
- Entry fees are non-refundable.
- Submit 1 to 2 dance pieces of a prepared solo, group performance to music, choreographer by you or another choreographer. Dance must not exceed 5 minutes. Your dance piece should showcase your artistry and your ability to explore concepts, ask questions, and examine biblically ideas visually. All work must be original
- A written statement that includes your point of view as a Christian artist and what motivates you to create. You can also take this opportunity to explain the selections in your portfolio; why you made these decisions on your selections and their relationship to each other and to you as an artist.
- Apparel: All dancers must wear a color that is in contrast to the background Costumes or performance outfits are allowed. Suggestive and provocative clothing & music is not permitted.
Uploading Guidelines: All dance pieces must not exceed 5 minutes
- Dance pieces must be submitted with a private link
- Video quality should not be below 1080p. Videos with poor audio quality will not be considered.
- Video ill disqualified if the performance piece is considered inappropriate.
Review: Our team will conduct a thorough review of your work and consider you for our show on December 02, 2023, in South Florida. Our notification date will be October 4 -6, 2024
Our curation team is looking for:
- Work that reflects biblical truth topics
- Work that challenges the use of media, ideas, and forms of expression
- Work that reveals experimentation
- Work that pushes the boundaries of traditional relationships with the audience.
If work is accepted:
- If selected for GodArts Week, you will be required to perform you submitted piece live, and therefor must have the rights to the choreography for that piece.
Registration includes:
- Selected Artwork displayed
- Custom marketing flyers
- 2 guest passes
- Featured spotlight on our website and Instagram page.
