Booth Fee: Spigel Pavilion Booth Fee $110 • Electricity $25 - Electricity availability is limited and will be assigned on a first come, first served basis.
Booth/Exhibitor Information: The Outdoor Artist Market is located on the Guild’s Spigel Pavilion. The Spigel Pavilion is a covered, partially enclosed area with a concrete floor. The pavilion ceiling provides shelter from rain and direct sun while the “walls” of the pavilion are open, allowing air to circulate from all sides.
Artist Market Display: Exhibitors are responsible for providing their own displays. White tents should be EZ UP quality or higher. All tents must be secured with weights on each tent leg. Stakes may not be used. Two artists may share a booth as long as each artist submits their own application. Artists must be present with their work. If you have a specific space request, please make a note on the application. Location requests will be accommodated whenever possible, but are not guaranteed.
Spigel Pavilion Market: Tents are optional on the Spigel Pavilion. Tents, frames, and all display boards must be sufficiently weighted to withstand strong breeze. Tents should be weighted on each leg. Tents cannot be staked on the pavilion. Booths are a minimum of 10’ x 10’. Electricity is available but MUST be requested on your application form.
Check In Outdoor Artist Market: Exhibitor check-in is Friday, September 20, 10:00 am - 4:00 pm. Any artist not arriving or calling the Guild by 4:00 P.M. to notify of a delay will be considered a no-show and the space will be reassigned. Artist and booth set up must be complete by Friday at 6:00 pm.
Night Security: The Guild will furnish outside security Friday and Saturday nights, but exhibitors’ discretion is advised. THE CREATIVE ARTS GUILD ASSUMES NO RESPONSIBILITY FOR LOSS OR DAMAGE FROM ANY CAUSE.
FESTIVAL Hours: Friday (9/20) 7pm - 9pm, Saturday (9/21) 10:00am - 5:00pm, Sunday (9/22) 11:00am - 5:00pm. Exhibitors are required to remain open during these hours. Artists that do not abide by FESTIVAL rules or that do not remain fully open during FESTIVAL hours will not be invited to return.
Sales: Artists will be responsible for handling their sales and should plan to have change and other financial necessities. Artists will be responsible for collecting and reporting 7% Georgia sales tax. Forms for reporting sales tax will be provided to Outdoor Artist Market artists. The Guild does not charge commission on Outdoor Artist Market sales.
Services to Artists: Booth sitters will be available to relieve artists for short breaks. Creative Arts Guild volunteers provide a continental breakfast for artists on Saturday and Sunday mornings. Light snacks and beverages will be available throughout each day in the Artist Hospitality Area. Artists and a guest are invited to our artist/volunteer dinner at the close of FESTIVAL Saturday evening.
Cancellations and Refunds: Cancellations by accepted artist participants must be received in writing before 5:00 p.m. on September 6, 2024 for a refund of booth fee. Application fees are non-refundable. FESTIVAL is a rain or shine event; booth fees will not be refunded in the case of inclement weather.
Submission Categories
Ceramics: All original clay, raku, porcelain work. No machine-made or mass produced work is permitted.
Children’s Arts: Work that is designed specifically for children. May include paintings, drawings, toys, functional work, etc. *Children’s Art exhibitors may be placed adjacent to the Children’s Hill activities.
Digital/Graphic Arts: Work from which the image is created and/or manipulated by the artists using a computer. One of a kind embellishment of printed materials is permitted. Work in this category must be original designs and printed on quality materials.
Drawing: Original drawings using chalk, pastels, charcoal, pencil, wax crayon, etc.
Fiber/Basketry: Works created from fibers including basketry, batik, weaving, papermaking, knitting, and quilting. Embellishment of pre-manufactured materials is not permitted.
Fiber/Wearables: Wearable products created by the artist.
Furniture: Functional tables, chairs, screens, desks, etc. crafted from any material.
Glass: Work that has been hand-crafted by the artist by blowing, fusing, casting, or kiln-formed. No pre-manufactured items are allowed. No mass production permitted.
Handcraft: Handmade items made by the artist from manufactured, recycled, or repurposed materials transforming the combined materials into a unique product in a cohesive collection. A detailed description of items is required.
Jewelry: All Jewelry crafted from metal, glass, stone, clay, or other materials. Work made from commercial molds or casts is not eligible.
Printmaking: Printed works by hand-manipulated plates, stones, or screens and which have been signed and numbered as a limited edition.
Metal: Functional and sculptural work where the primary material is metal.
Painting: Works created with acrylics, oil, or gouache.
Paper & Bookmaking: Functional and sculptural work created primarily from paper.
Photography: Photographic prints made from the artist's original negative or digital image.
Sculpture: Three-dimensional artwork in any medium.
Upcycled/Recycled: Works that have been transformed from by-products, waste materials, useless or unwanted products into new materials or objects of better quality.
Wood: Original works in wood that are built, turned, carved, or tooled. Embellished manufactured wood items are not permitted.
NOT ACCEPTED:
- Artwork not produced by the artist.
- Artificial intelligence-generated artwork and/or works based on AI-generated content.
- Mass-produced materials
- Artwork produced via kits or commercial molds and casts.
- Pre-manufactured items and/or embellished pre-manufactured items
- Dried flower arrangements, decoupage, and decal crafts
Fine art prints/reproductions will be eligible for the Outdoor Artist Market exhibit but may constitute no more than 33% of the artist’s total display. Any artwork by any mechanical means, i.e., giclees, photo-offset, or any other reproduction technique must be clearly labeled as reproduction and displayed in bins.
