About the application
- No hand embellishing of manufactured materials. an example would be attaching a handmade keychain onto a store bought handbag and selling it as your work.
- No kits or items created from molds. Example: Candles in the shape of an automobile made from pouring hot wax in molds shaped like a car.
- Submitting this application is not a guarantee of approval to participate in Alpharetta Art in the Park.
- There are no pre-assigned spaces. Artists select their own space from open available spaces at the time of artist check in.
- We cannot accept applications from vendors who sell personal care items and products such as soaps, essential oils, serums for the face and body, healing crystals, body scrubs, herbal tonics, CBD products of any kind. Basically any product that is to be applied to the skin or ingested into the body as stated in our insurance policy is not covered and therefore will not be permitted to participate in any events for Alpharetta Art in the Park.
3-D Mixed Media: Includes more than one type of physical material such as mosaic, papier mache, clay, fiber, glass, metal, wood, or any other 3-dimensional objects.
Ceramics/Pottery: Original shaped and fired clay including earthenware, porcelain, and raku.
Digital Art: Two-dimensional works from which the original image is manipulated by the artist using a computer using programs such as Drawing, Illustrator, Paint, or other software applicationsLiving Plants: Ornamentals or specimens for the exterior landscape that can be single can or curated in decorative containers with multiple plantings or in topiary form. Food producing plants or common houseplants do not qualify. Drawing & Printmaking: Original drawings made with pen, pencil, charcoal, pastels or, chalk. The printmaking process may include pulled plates, linoleum prints, etching, engraving, silkscreen, or lithography. All prints must be signed and numbered by the artist. Photocopies are not permitted.
Fiber: Works created from fibers including basketry, batik, weaving, papermaking, knitting, and quilting. An embellishment of manufactured materials is not permitted. Leather: Wearables and non-wearables. Folk-art: Multi medium, decorative or utilitarian art of the people often an expression of community life distinguished from academic art of cosmopolitan expression.Glass: An object made of glass including blown, fused, stained, cast, and molded. An embellishment of manufactured materials is not permitted.Handcrafted: Handmade items made by the artist from manufactured, recycled, or repurposed materials transforming the combined materials into a unique product in a cohesive collection. When you upload your images, include a complete description of the items. Your work space/studio image you upload will be important to show your raw materials.
Jewelry: Has been filled for April and is closed to new applicants. All Jewelry is crafted from metal, glass, stone, clay, or other materials. Commercial molds or casts are not permitted. At least 50% of the organic materials in the finished product used must be produced by the artist.
Metal: Functional and non-sculptural works incorporating metal.
Painting: The use of oils, acrylics, watercolors, and tempera suitable for hanging.
Photography: Prints, transparencies, or digital images made from the artist’s original negative or taken with a digital camera that has been processed by the artist.
Sculpture: Three-dimensional work is done in any individual medium.
Wood & Furniture: Original works in wood that are built, turned, carved, or tooled. Embellished manufactured wood items are not permitted.Candle Category IS FULL FOR THE REST OF 2024.Handcrafted pet items
Handcrafted Musical InstrumentsHandcrafted kid friendly products - Must be handmade. No embellishing of store bought items. Children's hair accessories sub category is limited - please include detailed photos.Happy, Friendly Vendors: This category is open to everyone and always accepting applications. :)What is not permitted at Art in the Park and should not apply.
- Embellishment of store bought goods.
- Anyone that is not an artist or maker creating products by hand and original artwork.
- The selling of merchandise that was purchased for resale. No Wholesale, imports, or Buy-Sell items for retail sales.
- non-profits, religious groups, churches, political candidates, commercial enterprises soliciting sales and giving away prizes, or social clubs
- Grumpy vendors. :)
About the event
Terms & Conditions
- Only one artist is allowed to exhibit per booth. - OR-
- Two artists may share a booth if the work on display is 100% collaborative and each artist has contributed to 50% of the work and you can show proof that it is a prearranged collaboration. Otherwise it is one artist to one booth.
- Art in the Park is on Saturday AND Sunday.
- Friday load in 6 PM to 8 PM
- Saturday morning load in 6:30 AM to 8 AM
- All artists are required to hand cart in all supplies from the unloading zone to your booth location, potentially walking up to 75 yards to reach your space. No vehicles are allowed in the park.
- Exhibitors will select a booth space from options of open available spaces.
- Artists/Exhibitors will provide their own tent (white if using one) and tables with FITTED table skirts (NO BED SHEETS PLEASE), any racks, signage, weights and straps, hand carts or dollies you will need. Also any personal assistants and any volunteers that you might need to unload, set up, work, booth sit, and assist with load out throughout the weekend.
- Artists will be responsible for collecting their own sales tax for Fulton County Georgia and remitting that sales tax to the Georgia Tax Center. The sales tax rate is 8.9%
- Artists handle all their own sales transactions. You will bring your own change bank. There is an ATM within walking distance.
- No hand written signs may be displayed per Alpharetta sign ordinance.
- Do not attach any banner or signage to any permanent structure in the park, including trees, lamp posts or park benches.
- Do not physically market your business to the customers inside the Farmers Market. This is forbidden and violates the contract Art in the Park has with the city.
- There are food options around the City Center shopping district that are a short car ride away. On foot, Publix is two blocks away. Saturday the farmers market will have great food options 8:30am to 12:30pm
- WHITE TENTS ONLY! It is the only acceptable tent color allowed to exhibit at Art in the Park. The city of Alpharetta would like continuity in our appearance.
- EZ-Up or similar style and that specific structural design with center canopy Pole. It is the safest low cost design option to prevent canopy collapse in the rain. It also is the only style that meets our minimum standard - 90% of all working artists/exhibitors already own this specific tent.
- Tents must have 40# of weight per leg, regardless of weather forecast. This is not optional, plan accordingly please!!
- Tents CANNOT be staked in park grounds due to gas lines that run underground for the gas lantern lighting throughout the park.
- Tents cannot be secured using trees or lamp posts or any other structure in the park.
- Overnight security is provided on Saturday night only. It is your responsibility to make sure that nothing of value is left overnight. Art in the Park, Michael Hipps and the security team cannot be held responsible for items that are missing, lost or stolen.
- It is the responsibility of the exhibitor to provide their own liability insurance as none will be provided by Art in the Park.
- No smoking in the park, around other vendors or around visitors to the park.
- This is an electronic agreement and by selecting the booths, you are validating and approving this agreement electronically.
- There are no refunds once the applicant has been accepted to participate in the market. Do not request a fee to be transferred to another month and market. You can edit your submissions up until the time of acceptance.
- Immediately Upon acceptance, your method of payment on file will be charged and you will be notified via your email you listed in your profile.
- There is a 3.5% processing fee assessed by eventeny and added onto the total for any charges processed on the site.
