About the event

The North Carolina Fossil Festival celebrates the Aurora Fossil Museum and the rich fossil record of North Carolina. Join us for a family-friendly event steeped in tradition and good old-fashioned southern charm. Activities include digging for fossils, fossil displays, fossil auction, educational displays by partner nonprofit organizations, movie night, parade, live entertainment, food & craft vendors, dinosaur shows, glow party, and much, much more!

Terms & Conditions

Please read all the information below before beginning your application. As a vendor, you are responsible for understanding all terms and conditions. By submitting your application, you agree to all North Carolina Fossil Festival Terms and Conditions. Handing out, giving away, or selling food or drink is prohibited. Sharing booth space with other agencies is prohibited.Vendors must provide their own table(s), chair(s), and set-ups. All tents and coverings must be weighted to prevent becoming airborne in the event of windy conditions. Cylinder/sleeve weights or water canisters are preferred. No stakes may be driven into asphalt or hard paved surfaces. All tents, coverings, and booth areas will be inspected for safety before the event’s opening. 
  • Applying does not guarantee acceptance into the festival.
  • Only applications submitted through this webpage will be accepted.
  • Applications received by mail or email will automatically be rejected.
  • A committee selects applicants by vendor application only.
  • Incomplete applications will not be considered.
  • Applications missing photos will not be considered.
  • Applications are due by 6 pm EST on April 24, 2024.
  • Vendors will be notified via email of the decision.
  • Approved vendors will receive information concerning event information and check-in times following the approval email.
 By submitting this application, I agree to hold the Aurora Fossil Museum Foundation, Inc., the Town of Aurora, and the North Carolina Fossil Festival harmless for any injury or loss to any person, equipment, property, or goods for any cause whatsoever. I also agree that the stated organizations cannot be held responsible for any claims for damage, injury, or loss arising from or in connection with using the space or grounds during the North Carolina Fossil Festival. Vendors not adhering to the terms and conditions will be asked to leave festival area and will not be allowed to participate in future Fossil Festivals.
 
I also understand that the NC Fossil Festival is a rain or shine event and there are no refunds of vendor fees in the event the NC Fossil Festival is canceled due to unforeseen circumstances, including weather.
