41st Annual Downtown Billings St. Patrick's Day Parade
  • Date: Saturday, March 16, 2024
  • Parade Begins: 11:00am
All parade entries must be decorated in a St. Patrick's Day theme (ie.Green streamers, balloons (no releasing into the air), banners, Walkers in costume or themed dress, Shamrocks, Leprechaun, rainbows, etc All Entries must avoid: Plain vehicles/trucks/trailers with no decoration, Walkers with no theme, props, or dress, Advertising, flyers, and handouts
Set-up/Staging: Parade participants will be emailed a staging map with pre-parade arrival instructions the week prior to the event. Each entry will be assigned a parade staging number and arrival time. All floats and parade entrants must be in place in the staging area by 10:30am.
Important: This application is not a guarantee of event participation. Applications will be reviewed. Once accepted each participant will be assigned a location in the parade by the event organizer. The parade line-up is at the discretion of the event organizers. Parade line-up location requests are welcome but not guaranteed.

About the event

The downtown St. Patrick's day celebration includes a St. Patrick's Day Parade & Celtic Fair Street Party that all takes place the Saturday after nearest St. Patrick’s Day. The St. Patrick's Day Parade & Celtic Fair presented by Downtown Billings Alliance & Hooligans Sports Bar has been a tradition in the Billings community for 40 years. This annual parade celebrates our community's Irish American heritage and features over 40 festival floats and the Celtic Fair & Street Party fill the streets below Skypoint with the scent of street food and the festive sound of music, cloggers, bag-pipers.  Expect live entertainment and amplified music, a festive atmosphere with outdoor family-friendly activities, food trucks, and more.. These events are free for the community to attend. This event is supported by Montana Brew Co. with additional event sponsorships from The Zone 96.3, Planet 106.7, My Classic Hits 105.9, and KSky 96.3.

Terms & Conditions

The DBA is a Non-profit entity which seeks to benefit the community with this event.Your entry fee supports the DBA and it's efforts. An entry fee is required to participate in the Parade. If you are unable to pay, please find a sponsor to cover your entry fee. Displays may include a "sponsored by..." on their identification signage to recognize the help from your sponsor. The parade entry fees are non-refundable. The event is a sun, rain, or snow event only to be cancelled for weather temperatures deemed hazardous by weather advisory or if there are pertinent public health or safety directions from State/County officials. Entry fees will not be refunded in the case of a hazardous weather or public health or safety cancellations. Your entry fee is a tax-deductible donation and we will gladly supply you with a receipt at your request.
