About the application

This is the application for the Pro Row section of the Anime Boston 2024 Artists' Alley.  This is a juried process and will close on December 29, 2023 11:59 PM EST.  Here are the following requirements for Pro Row: 
  • Each 8 foot space will cost $700. This does not include the cost of convention membership badges nor the online processing fees for the table.
  • All Pro Row artists who are applying as individuals cannot share their space with anyone. They also cannot sell any other artist's work.
  • All Pro Row artists who are applying as studios must have been established for at least three years. They must also have projects that the entire studio has worked on together, and not just individual projects. All studio applicants will be investigated to confirm their legitimacy. Information will be gathered from previous Anime Boston Artists' Alley, as well as the Artists' Alleys of other conventions.
  • The Pro Row is not for a group of individuals who want to pool money to afford an 8 foot space.
  • 75% of the artist's work sold at Anime Boston must be original art and not fan art. The focus is on an artist's own creations, and not the intellectual property of someone else. If your website only shows fanart, you will be disqualified. AI art is banned from our Artists' Alley.

Terms & Conditions

Membership to Anime Boston must be purchased separately, and may be done at www.animeboston.com. If a membership is not purchased you will not be granted access to Artist Alley. A membership must be purchased for every person that you plan to have help you at the event, or they will not allowed access to Artist Alley. Name: The Hynes Convention center requires us to submit the legal name of everyone that will participate in Artist Alley. Under contact name, please make this your legal name. Should your legal name be different from your preferred name, please add a note under special requests and we will do our best to use that in our communications with you. Helpers: At this time, we realize that it is hard to staff a table all by yourself, and you may desire helpers. We can only allow four (4) people behind the table at any one time. If you are found to have more than four people you will be asked to send someone out.We realize that at this time, you may not know who your helpers will be, for this reason, we will send out a google form to all accepted artists to update their helper information. Please note that all helpers MUST have/purchase a convention badge in order to attend.  What comes with the Table Rental: You will receive a 8 foot table and an appropriate number of chairs. Nothing else is included with the table rental, including tablecloths, extra chairs or tables, and electricity. Table Locations: Table locations will be assigned by Anime Boston staff. We will however try to accomodate special requests if possible. Prohibited Items: Stickers, washi tape, vinyl clings, AI generated art, food, and weaponry are prohibited in Artist Alley. This is a ZERO-TOLERANCE policy. If you are found to be selling or distributing in any manner, prohibited materials you will be ejected from Artist Alley without refund and may be restricted from vending/exhibiting at future Anime Boston events. Hynes Convention Center policy states that you may not attach anything to the walls, or pillars; this includes, but is not limited to: tape, tacks, nails, gummy tack, and push pins! If you attach any materials to the walls, you will be required to remove them. Please see our FAQ's for more rules and answers to the most often asked questions. https://www.animeboston.com/artists_alley/faq Payment Deadline: The credit card on file will be charged upon acceptance into our Pro Row. If you fail to complete payment, you will forfeit your table. Procedure for Acceptance After the Waitlist: You will have three days from the receipt of the acceptance letter to pay for your table. If you fail to complete payment, you will forfeit your table. Submitting this application and signing your name to said application constitutes agreement with and thereby abiding by the rules set forth by Anime Boston.

8 Foot Table $700.00 Our Pro Row Tables are 8 feet long. While a credit card is required to fill out this form, you will ONLY be charged if your application is accepted by Anime Boston.

  • Please submit a website of your portfolio- only provide the url. Tumblr links will not be permitted, as the site format is not conducive for a speedy evaluation. Any entries with invalid or broken links will be disqualified.   • Please describe your portfolio and any awards or accolades you may have.
  • There are a number of items that are expressly prohibited for sale, distribution, and/or display at Anime Boston: No stickers and materials with adhesive backing of any form including but not exclusive to vinyl clings, washi tape, and or anything that could be stuck on a wall by an attendee. No food and/or drink of any sort excluding for the personal consumption of the artist and helpers. No AI generated artwork. No weaponry of any sort. No tracing. If you are found to be selling or in any manner distributing prohibited items, you will be removed from Artist Alley. This is a ZERO-TOLERANCE policy. You will be ejected without refund, and may be banned from future Anime Boston events. Your signature to this question means that you understand and will abide by these rules.

  • How many helpers will be at your table besides yourself? If you have no helpers, please select 0. We will send an survey closer to the convention so you can provide your helper information.
  • I understand that any artist with adult-related material must have it clearly marked, covered, and supervised at all times to ensure that no minors are viewing it. Naturally, this also means you cannot sell this material to minors. Artists are responsible for verifying the ages of potential customers of this art. Failure to comply could result in disciplinary action and repeated offenses may result in expulsion from the convention.
  • I understand that Anime Boston reserves the right to remove anyone at any time from the convention with or without stated reason. Anyone removed will not be eligible for a refund.
  • I understand that I cannot sell my works at multiple tables at Anime Boston 2024 nor sell in both the Artists' Alley and Dealers' Room for Anime Boston 2024. Pro Row Artists are not allowed to share their table.
  • I understand that the table cost does not include admission to Anime Boston 2024. Badges must be purchased separately from the registration page on the Anime Boston website.
