This application is for Ceramic and Pottery artists, functional and non-functional.
This interactive virtual art festival represents the replacement of the 2020 Indian Wells Arts Festival originally scheduled for April 3, 4, 5, 2020 at the Indian Wells Tennis Garden, Indian Wells, CA, which was ordered cancelled by the State of California and Riverside County due to the Coronavirus pandemic and resulting declaration of a state-wide health emergency.
All juried Artists, Community Partners, and Vendors accepted to participate at the Spring 2020 physical event are automatically accepted in the virtual event and have the opportunity to present and sell their work. This event is for April 2020 Artists, Community Partners, and Vendors only.
Participating artists must complete the EVENTENTY application with the following information:
• Application form must be submitted by September 13, 2020 at 5:00pm EST;
• Artist profile must be completed with a Bio – About you and your work, artist statement, picture of you;
• Artwork images – Artists required to upload a minimum of 10 (no maximum) high-resolution and quality images of artwork available for sale during the event. Additional images can be uploaded to replace items sold;
• Artists are responsible for listing titles, descriptions and prices of all items to be sold;
• Video to demonstrate artwork, introduce yourself and your work, or give a studio tour is greatly encouraged, but optional;
• Zoom account is required to interact directly with patrons is greatly encouraged, but optional. This provides you an opportunity to have ‘store hours’ to chat with interested patrons;
• Taxes – It is the Artist’s responsibility to follow the law and collect and pay required sales taxes and fees and by selecting the appropriate method on EVENTENY application where noted;
• Shipping – It is the responsibility of Artists, Community Partners, and Vendors to arrange the handling and shipping of all items sold, including cost and method of shipment on EVENTENY application where noted;
• STRIPE Account – Artists, Community Partners, and Vendors must set up a STRIPE account for purchases and to receive payments. Similar to a PayPal account, it is the required EVENTENY payment method.
NOTE: Dianne Funk Enterprises, Inc./dba Indian Wells Arts Festival, will review images for size, content and quality for best viewing purposes and has the right to reject images not meeting visual standards.
CRITERIA
Artwork must be original in design and executed by the applicant. No commercial dealers, agents, kits, castings from commercial molds or mass-produced items or buy/sell allowed.
FEES
Artists, Community Partners, and Vendors who were accepted to the April 2020 Indian Wells Arts Festival owe no fees for this virtual event and is a roll-over of those fees paid previously.
Artists who have paid for double booths will have additional spotlight opportunities.
SALES
Art patrons have the opportunity to place purchases in their cart and enjoy one stop shopping just as they do on other major retailer sites such as Amazon, etc. They can purchase from multiple artists, never needing to leave the EVENTENY platform.
A 12% commission on artist sales (before tax and shipping) will be deducted via your STRIPE account. This 12% includes a 5% EVENTENY commission that is absorbed by the Indian Wells Arts Festival, making the final commission to IWAF/DFE at 7% for this event.
The balance of your sales will be deposited to your STRIPE account via EVENTENY.
SHIPPING
Artists, Community Partners, and Vendors are directly responsible for the shipment and handling of purchased items to buyers along with any communication regarding the shipping method and process as selected in EVENTENY.
PUBLICITY
Dianne Funk Enterprises, Inc. and its representatives are given permission to use all images and information provided by artists for inclusion in promotional materials including, but not limited to press releases in printed, electronic or online blogs and publications.
